The river where I oftenly go with my dog ,my hiding place.
An untouched close up(with exposure)of a submerged brige when a few beaver’s dams just collaps a couple of nights ago.I couldn’t drink or even used the water in my house for 2 days.We were not able to go out of our area for a day.It happenned at night and we could hear the raging fload so loud,it was amazing. The firemen were at the bridge watching when I took that close-up.This image is the result of the destroyed bridge, half of it just went along with the water,a very impressive scene to see and to hear because of the dead trees and rocs rolling over the road. The little touches of colors you see are the reflection comming from the lights of the firemen’s truck.I didn’t know if I would have enough light,in fact I didn’t have any idea about the result.I thought about using exposure for the creamy texture….I just remember that my boyfriend kept asking me,how much time you still need,5 or 10 min. and I answered 15 …. :)) He wanted to go to sleep,it was 1 o’clock in the morning. / / /
A silhouette of a girl holding up the sun during a brilliant orange sunset on a river.
Three dead redgum trees standing silent together in Lake Bonney at Barmera in South Australia’s Riverland. Many thanks to Kathy T for sending me out to Pelican Point, an amazing place to see these majestic trees still standing against the elements. For great images see Kathy’s site.

WHat particularly drew me to this scene were the patterns of light and shadow on the rocks and leaves. Taken on an Autumn afternoon in Jacob’s Fork River, South Mountain State Park, NC. Figuring out a way to get from one slippery and mossy rock to another in order to take the photo was a real challenge too-especially carrying tripod and camera equipment. / Nikon D50, 42mm,F22 ,2 sec / viewed 937 times as of 11/06/09 / /

Another quick capture tonight, from work to the tube, just as the night was falling around 5:30pm. These are the lights on the South Bank of the river Thames, close to Waterloo bridge. To me, the varying size of the lights on the picture and the slight curve of the layout, like just like a string of pearls. Early morning three shot panorama – Noora Basin, between Berri and Renmark in the Riverland of South Australia. This backwater is an evaporation basin off of the River Murray. The main river itself looks nothing like this and still holds plenty of water to make a visit to the region well worth while. Nothing better – 6.30 am, first hint of sun, great clouds, colours and magnificent dead redgum trees standing silent. Who could want for more!!!!!!!! Canon 400D – 18 -55 lens, CIR polarising filter coupled with ND4. Tripod mounted three shot pano stitched in photoshop CS3.
Loved this boat sitting so calm on the Noosa River, as I was sitting there waiting for the sunset colours to intensify, this seagull started feeding off bait fish on the surface.. Bit of a shame he wasn’t facing me, but still happy :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. Canon 50D, 14mm. Available large, and definately best viewed large!
