Vacuity… Just as fast as an echoe of dust particles sweeps around my brain, I’m able to feel how empty I am after all those injuries. A solemn vision of the failed project of having a soul, is exquisitely joined by the alien silence of the most intense experiences of being one. There is still no answer after removing the giant stones that cover my ears, and those desperate and distant screams no longer cause any impression to the senses. Void of possessions and ruled by the absence of instincts, there is no other option than travelling above the sharpened and deadly razor of vacuity, momentaneously secured by the rope made of what I once were… till it breaks… José Ramos

Captured along the Mount Evans Wilderness in Colorado, this is one of those waterfalls that kind of sneaks up on ya outta the blue, and if you blink, you actually miss it. I really don’t much in the way of long exposure shots, but after being happy with how this one came out, I am going to start doing them more. Hope ya all like it! Abundance – The Fountain http://www.joseramos.net A different approach, shot in the same day and place where I made the “The Infinity Fountain Photo”, capturing the same essence and feeling… Once more, standing alone in front of another memory, I harvest my thoughts from the infinity fountain ahead. The cycle repeats, as I find myself pulled away from the tedious life of today, feeling I could grab the source and remain there silently… After one hour of search and 20 minutes waiting under a rock for the intense rain to stop, the skies finally opened to let the sun set in and show it’s strength. The beach was absolutely desert, and the next 30 minutes were made of pure photographic pleasure… I came home wet and cold, but my inside was warm and soothed… José Ramos / http://www.joseramos.net / ____ / Shot in Algarve – Portugal

Shoalhaven River, Shoalhaven Heads, NSW, Australia One evening I came across this warm sunset across the Oyster farm on the river. Was awesome to see. / I also like how the soft light slightly reveals the ripple in the water.

Ya, thought the title pretty much summed it up! Captured a couple night ago as the sun was sinking low out at Reunion Lake on the eastern plains of Colorado. The colors were just stunning, I was pretty awe struck, it yielded quite a few really nice shots! Let me know what ya think! / —-John

A Tranquil Evening The world seemed to almost totally stop when I took this, it was a hot evening, I was sweating just about to die, but for a moment, life seemed suspended, all the hustle and bustle disappeared, and the sky went fantastic, as if the Lord above painted something which had never been seen before. For an instant, tranquility, for an instant, serenity, for an instant, the light was to die for. Look closely, take it all in, and you may notice the distant red traffic lights. The building on the left is the old boat house at Washington Park where this was shot at, built around the turn on the century 1900. These days it serves as a place for concerts for classical music, Scottish Bagpipes, and similar sorts of sounds. Examine it close and just take a deep breath. Shot info: Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-200 DT Lens / Dynatran 8180 Tripod / Singh-Ray CPL

ANZAC day. The one day of the year when I voluntarily get out of bed while the stars are still out, to attend the dawn service. I was hoping for a glorious sunrise but alas the weather closed in and my sensational rub-it-in-ya-faces-Stuart-and-Simon shot was not to be… Perhaps next year ;) The Inglis River still looked might purty this morning =) Title taken from the song One Perfect Day by Little Heroes… kind of appropriate considering the day… At the going down of the sun and in the morning, / We will remember them.
