A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

Sylvia Falls – Valley of the Waters was shot in the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, on 21 April 2008 (a wet and misty day), with a Canon EOS 10D, 28-90mm zoom at 28mm, tripod, 1/2 second, ISO 100. _______ Larger view recommended !! _______ _________ Update I finally decided upon and acquired a wide angle lens, always with returning to these magnificent falls a foremost thought:

What do you call the light that permanently imprints itself into the deepest corner of your cerebral real estate? Just a memorable one, divine, sublime? The star was going down fast, as it was just a matter of ‘to get it over and done with‘ a daily sunset routine – until that moment. Like it was switched on by some all powerful hand residing somewhere in the center of a kingdom of light, the sunbeam reached across the valley, bringing all the associated attributes with it, like joy and warmth, just for a few moments, before disappearing altogether. The blue cold haze drowned the beautiful Hawkes Bay valley, but not before the last ray of sun got there first. I was standing in awe … for a while in fact, still in disbelief. Review button and LCD screen confirmed it did happen. Sweet. I’ll treasure selfishly the melody of breeze passing through the treetops, the smell of golden grass and feel of fallen leafs under my feet. Not to worry, I left something to share with you. Here it is.

The headwaters of the Taggerty River starts in Melbourne’s closest ski resort, Lake Mountain. The closest town to Lake Mountain is called Marysville which is blessed with many nearby waterfalls, one of the most popular is the Taggerty River which has a circuit walk near it named after the Beeches which line part of the walk. The Hampden Suspension Bridge is an historical landmark and is the only surviving suspension bridge in New South Wales that was built during the Australian colonial days. The Hampden Bridge is 77 metres long and was built in the year 1897, and named after Lord Hampden, who was the Governor of NSW from 1895 to 1899. North Conway, New Hampshire / Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-500mm lens / October 2009 “North Conway and its surrounding towns offer some of the best hiking in the White Mountain National Forest. It also features some of the best rock climbing sites on the East Coast, its gem being Cathedral Ledge in Echo Lake State Park. The 500-foot (150 m) cliff overlooks Echo Lake from the west and the Saco River and the Saco River valley in the east. Cathedral Ledge has an automobile road to the summit, which provides fine views of the Saco River Valley.” / ~ Wikepedia
