Top Featured Piece Of The Day in the Live, Love, Dream group, 12th Nov, 2008. / Featured in the Rivers, Lakes and Dams group, 12th Nov, 2008. Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

I was driving along Colorado River, not very far from Moab, hoping to see the full moon somewhere close to LaSal Mountains or Fisher Towers. What a wonderful surprise to see it come up right where it did. / Nikon D80 / f/22, 0.6 sec, ISO 100, focal length 105 mm, EV -0.33

Captured at around 5.00am from Westminster Bridge, it had just stopped raining and Big Ben looked beautiful. Ha ha, I’ve just gotten outta bed, and noticed that the clock actually tells the time, just after quarter past five in the morning. It was worth it though:-) LOL. Also the real name is St Stephen’s Tower, Big Ben is the Bell. Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm / You may also like to view another capture of St Stephen’s Tower (Big Ben to tourists:-) / The London Eye Click the pic:-) / /

The view looking back along the coast of South Shields, starting with Marsden Bay and it’s stacks, past the Lees, into Sandhaven Beach and finally the estuary and harbour walls of Tynemouth with their lighthouses. This shot was the last on a wonderful day along this section of the coast and seemed to sum up all of the features and the clouds. Converted into pinhole black and white Best viewed large
This is the church of St Winnow, which lies on the banks of the River Fowey, just below Lostwithiel in Cornwall, England. The church was featured in the 1977 BBC series of Poldark, which starred Anghard Rees and Robin Ellis, as Ross Poldark. This capture was shot in colour, but converted to B+W with an IR filter in CS3. I quite like the effect, and I hope you do too. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large. Pentax K110D. / Pentax 18-55mm Lens.

Took this some time ago, while testing a new Sigma f/2.8 lens. I am adding this into a Norfolk Landscape Art Exhibit, it looks FANTASTC on metallic print paper (11×14, matted and framed). / I now use White House Custom Color (WHCC) for my printing needs, they really do a great job. Just wanted to get some feedback here, if folks like this shot as much as I do.
