The large 60 metre wheel now sitting on the banks of the Swan River just like the Melbourne one and every other capital city in the world apparently…. I really like it though, adds something to the foreshore area in Perth which was very bland.

This shot was taken on a scorching summer day at Kings Park in Perth in January this year. The park, which overlooks the Swan River, covers a larger area than New York’s Central Park – and is paradise for a nature lover or photographer. As I walked away from the reflecting pool with its Eternal Flame, I noticed these pink fringed gumnuts against the dark green foliage – so I just hit the trigger as I walked past.. Taken from the Narrows Bridge on a still morning. You get a completely different perspective from a bridge. If you look carefully the boat that is being towed has a bicycle on it – wonder where it was going?
