This is another image from the series of infrared shots that I took from the banks of the local river today.. However instead of focusing on the water, I decided to turn around and shoot the hill behind me as I knew that the tree in the centre would turn out bright white compared to the rest of the trees and I knew the grass would turn out well.. / Hope you like it!
A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

Went hiking/snowshoeing this weekend as the weather was actually good for the first time in a while and we decided to hit up Garibaldi Lake Provincial park which is just about 20 km south of where we live here in Whistler. All to say, it’s a 9km hike up to the lake which is located at 1400meters. Return trip and total hike is about 20 km and took us 7 hours but what a sight. The snow level was only starting at around 1100 meters and once at the top, we only had about 40cm of snow, great thing we had the snowshoes / This shot was taken at the exit of the lake at the top of the hike with the rivers flowing out towards the water. / My 3rd attempt @ HDR, still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t with this kind of photos. / Canon XT, Sigma 17-35mm , 3 images used to create this
Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. Autumn comes to the Grand Tetons. My son, Sean, and I were traveling north on 9-27-2007 and arrived here at just the right moment. There were a ton of photographers here, as usual. I took a ton of pictures and got this shot after a tripod guy got out of the way. Taken hand-held with my Canon EOS-1D Mark III camera and Canon EF—24-105 L IS lens. 940 Views as of 11-05-2009.
