In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Historically, the term has been used to refer to reported sightings of apparitions over water that have appeared in the form of maritime sailing ships, often after having previously been known to have sunk, or to derelict vessels found floating with no crew. In fiction, ghost ships have often been vessels crewed by some manner of spectral beings. Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) Many neopagans hold a monthly ritual called an Esbat at each full moon, while some people practicing traditional Chinese religions prepare their ritual offerings to their ancestors and deities on every full and new moon

The Golden Gate Bridge was barely visible in this dense morning fog. From a cliff overlooking the bay, the pillar was visible as well as a misty outline of the San Francisco skyline. Built in 1933, the bridge was completed 5 years later in 1937. It is a part of US Highway 101 and State Route 1, and is the only road to exit San Francisco to the north. A bit of trivia: The suspension bridge is 8,981 feet in length and is 200+ feet above the water. It has a total of approximately 1.2 million rivets holding it together. The fish have been biting well on this stretch of the Nerang River and I like the way the clouds show in the reflections on the water. View of Surfers Paradise from the council chambers at Evendale.(29/11/08)

I got up early on Friday morning during my recent trip to South Australia. I was staying in Goolwa, only a couple of minutes drive from Victor Harbor, so I headed down there for some dawn photography.. very pleased with the results. Canon EOS 30D / EF-S 10-22 / ND8Grad / ND400 16mm, 82 seconds @ f10, ISO100 No photoshop other than leveling the horizon. All colours are real and achieved by changing the white balance in the camera. All comments appreciated - paul
Returned to this spot for a quick fish approaching sunset. With the cooler days of winter here the bream are starting to show up in large numbers. It’s not a bad view looking across the Nerang River towards the Hi-Rises of Surfers Paradise
Captured in Charlotte County, Florida at the Cecil M. Webb Wildlife Management Area before the sunrise hit the horizon,as the colors reflect off Webb lake. It was one of the most beautiful mornings I have seen in a while. / Canon 5D markk ll / canon 17mm / ISO 100 / 1/40 f/5.6 /
