Dominating the picture, the large lilly is accompanied by his little friend. In the background, the geodesic lines of the botanical dome are disrupted by a solitary ripple, throwing them into chaos. Hand drawn A2 image on cartridge paper with a G-Tec C4 0.4 pen probably took about a year to do, but I don’t pay attention to the time or the drawing until it is nearly complete. Just been looking to buy some more pens and found out the drawn line is only 0.2mm! Featured in Works on Paper winner of the Patterns challenge in Finks in Ink

floating in my small home made lily pond this past fall. I darkened the tones of the whole image a notch or two here plus cropped-sharpened once…. Natures own elements provided the real beauty I find in it… Jewel tones in the water like Sapphires, Emeralds and Citrines come from the ponds surrounding tree line.
