This photo was taken on a roadtrip my partner & I undertook last year to Orkney.
This is Matthew from Scarborough Amateur Boxing & Sporting Club. / He was concentrating on his opponent during a sparring session, it was a look you could never stage, these guys were going at it for real and they’re mates!

This poor little bird was chased into my loungeroom window with a loud thud. I found it dazed, sitting on my front door step. It eventually flew to this tree in my front yard, sat for over 4 hours then flew away…

When I kiss your mouth / I want to taste it / Turn you upside down / Don’t want to waste it / Lyrics by Merril Bainbridge An edited shot of my new piercing. My sister and I both got our tongues pierced on the same day last year.
These are my wedding shoes, vale and necklace I got bored so I started to take some shots Shot: Nikon D90 / Format: Jpg / Date: 30.9.08 / Time: 4.50pm / Exposure Program: Aperture / Exposure: 1/1 second / F No: 7.1 / Focal Length: 80mm / ISO: 200 / Tripod used
A silver ringholder shaped like a very sly cat about to make a getaway
Another in between shot. I loved the slightly shocked expression on her face. Taken with the ring flash again, great for framing the head and shoulders.
Ring tailed lemur looking very regal on his throne.
A 5 year old finally figures out the importance of a list for Santa. And even though she couldn’t read or spell this year, she spent hours copying words out of the wish book and writing them on paper and then cutting out pictures and gluing them to her list for Santa, carrying her list everywhere. Then she decided she had to many things on her list and she may not get the thing she really wanted so she pulled everything off the list of pictures except one thing, / A PINK CAMERA for kids. / She has it all planned out to take photos of bugs she collects next summer and put them “upline like mommy wif she gets it:) “ / Created with a Canon 40d / PSCS3 converted to bw and selectively tinted santas suit
An older shot that I chose whilst cruising through some older contacts. I love the ringflash portraits and really need to do some more at some point. I also used this opportunity to practise some of my new photoshop skills, modifying and enhancing the skin, eyes [whites and iris’s], lips, adding makeup and selective sharpening. Hope you like.
I wanted to challenge myself this past weekend. I think I have described my studio… it’s the office my boyfriend and I share in our apartment. I have a window, a floor lamp, the over head fan/lamp, and another desk lamp. That’s all I have to work with. So I thought, how cool would it be to try to take some pictures of my favorite jewelry and manage to get the gems to light up. It was tricky… and I know I still haven’t achieved the effect I wanted. But practice makes perfect! I plan on doing this again sometime. The first attempt was with my favorite ring. It means a lot to me. A keen interest in jewelry is something my mom and I share. We might not always agree on styles, but we can appreciate a beautiful gemstone. My beautiful sapphire ring my mom bought me a few years ago. I think she got it for me thinking she liked it, and we rarely agree on jewelry so she was surprised when I fell in love with it. It is my favorite ring ever and I wear it when I have someplace special to go. I used to wear it all the time, but I’m too afraid to damage it or lose it that I only wear it if I’m going someplace nice. Thanks for the views and comments friends! ♥ Canon Rebel XT / w/ Canon 18-55mm lens / Port Orange, FL Touched up in Photoshop… cropped, contrast/brightness played with, that’s all
