I asked my son to play for me… and he did. Music… it fills our lives with joy, sharing in our laughter and happy times, comforting us in the dark. It asks nothing in return, but for us to listen… and feel.

by Juilee Pryorthis obamaicon software is just so much fun… I thought I had done with it for the day but got challeged by Amanda McClean and Helen Bascom to do a Pope one to round out the set…. so here is my sister Minda Idiot…. it’s taken from this ancient photo. .she died of a herion overdose at the age of 20 with nothing but brilliance before her…. she so never achieved her capacity… but she died young and stays pretty…. and I’ve just made her in Pope Minda the first…... enjoy….

Before that Musicians weren’t one of my favorite subjects, although I had painted a few on requests over the years. I had attended jam sessions before, but this guitar player, I could see the art he was playing, I could close my eyes and see the colors great, and I don’t even remember his name, I do remember him saying He had played with Santana at one time.

My 11 year old nephew’s first live performance. School talent show, playing his medley of classic rock riffs – everything from Crazy Train to Don’t Fear The Reaper. Standing ovation from the audience and a crew of giggly pre teen groupies trying to hang out afterwards. He was way too cool for that.
