  • A digitaly manipulated photo to appear as a painting. The mountain stream helps substain life both below and above the surface.A stream’s ecosystem includes the area immediately around the stream—the damp banks and vegetation on both sides, the trees that hang over it, the air above it. And it includes the stream’s entire watershed as well.We should do what we can to help preserve these beautiful wonders of nature before much of its flora and fauna are gone.

Show me yours, and I’ll show you mine! Oh get your heads above your navels people! =)) This is an idea that I have stolen (with complete permission of course) from Cathleen Tarawhiti by Rhana Griffin, and I’ve now stolen it from her. It goes like this… / You show me your favourite five images of mine, and I will go riffling through your drawers (like the complete stalker that I am) and post my favourite five images of yours. I promise I’ll try not to leave a mess at your place ;) Its a quid pro quo kinda thing but without Hannibal Lector… although I do have a nice Chianti in the fridge if anyone is interested ;) First in first served… PLEASE NOTE – it may take some time for me to decide on my favourite 5, I hate decisions.

  • Water quenches thirst. Experiencing nature’s pure beauty refreshes the core inner being… the soul! The first signs of autumn are just beginning to peek through here. The air is becoming cooler every day and the subtle scent of fall is getting more evident in the woods. The park rangers do their very best to keep this great place as pure and unspoiled as possible, and so should we! One simple rule: If you carry anything into the woods, be sure you also carry it back out with you! Leave the forests and streams EXACTLY as you found them!
