Taken in the Banking and Finance end of London, this curved building provided some really interesting shots. This was my favourite and I just love the way the reflection is broken or fractured so hence the title.

Completed in 2004, age 17 This is a slightly cropped version of the original, due to the limits of my camera. My original signature got cropped out so I had to insert a new one in photoshop; in the original it is not actually located there. Original size: (40” x 30”) The two subjects are posed in similar positions, each having a dark, circular central focus., Both images have lines above and surrounding the centres, which draw attention towards the centres. The vertical composition help strenghten the feeling of height given by the vertical lines. Both subjects are organic, however one, the eye, has straight lines and geometrical shapes, while the rose has curvy lines and organic shapes. In the eye, the centre is literally dark, while in the flower the darkness is created by shadows. Play away on the life that’s with you- beautiful rhythms.
A lovely place I stay at every now and then. It has surf, sand dunes, rock pools and a tidal inlet perfect for children and doggies to swim in. I mainly wanted to capture the brilliant colours, the mesmerizing rhythm of the waves, I guess just as I titled it! Anyhow, I dont usually do this sort of subject and I’m not sure how I feel about this piece. / Pastel on white Colorfix paper. 46×67cm 2008 Sold at exhibition 2009.
Original image of vascaya in Miami. This wonderful structure suggests the 20s and 30s. Multiple filters composed of photographs taken by the artist are superimposed on the original image to create the final effect.

West Island, Cocos (keeling) Islands When the tide comes in, an awesome white beach disappears (see Infinity) and is replaced by the prettiest aqua water…rolling, rolling, rolling !! The water is only knee deep, but perfect for floating in. We spotted lots of little reef sharks around here – what a magic place they call home. Ink on 120 gsm Cartridge Paper (A4) digitally reversed (one of my first digital experiments) I did this doodle whilst in hospital. I’d had some ‘funny’ heart beats and pains, hence the title. I rocked up at the emergency department of our local public hospital with a huge bag of art materials; ready for a 4-5 hour wait…..but, as soon as I mentioned pains in my chest…..well I didn’t even get to sit down, I was taken straight through and hooked up to all these monitors. So I spent the next 4 -5 hours in a bed (much more comfortable than the waiting room). I’m sure I have ‘Obsessive Creative Disorder’ because I can not stop drawing, creating, painting, doodling…..and no stay in hospital was going to stop me. I’m sure this was the most healing part of my stay as it really relaxes me. ((Details: Image created in photoshop, abstract/visionary/surreal/digital art tshirt design by Leah McNeir, 2009. This design features the silhouette of an acoustic guitar with a treble clef emblazoned on the guitar body, a raven clasping a musical note, and our inner metronome- the human heart, branching out like a Celtic Tree of Life’s limbs & roots, with color details of veins as in a circulatory system resonating the rhythm of life. )) / Thank you to all who voted in the MUSIC MACHINES challenge held by Redbubble and DEMO! ‘Rhythms of the Heart’ has come in 3rd place in the public voting portion of this challenge!
