A timeless scene captured in the wonders of dr5 black and white film processing. The Scituate Reservoir is the largest body of fresh water in Rhode Island. The road over the dam that keeps the water within the reservoir has some of the most beautiful views in inland Rhode Island. This historic look was acheived by aiming an antique AGFA Clack camera directly into the sun. No digital manipulation was employed. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

Dilapidated barn in western Cranston, RI. Its doubt that an actual witch lives here, but the roofline resembles a witches hat. dr5 cross processing enhances old, wooden buildings. The camera’s 6×9 aspect ratio emphasizes the height of the imposing structure. It almost seems as if it will crumble down on top of you from this angle. Created using an antique AGFA Clack camera with Efke R50 black & white film cross processed with dr5 . No digital manipulation. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

Abandoned building at The Ladd Center in Exeter, RI. This facility was originaly named “The Exeter School for the Feeble-Minded”. It was shut down in 1993 after years of rumored abuse of its patients. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this facility today. Not only is supposedly haunted by the tourtured souls of hundreds of past residents, RI state police will arrest you if you are spotted snooping around. This image was captured using a Flipped-Lens Brownie Hawkeye camera and Arista black and white educational film. No digital manipulation was employed. “Abandoned” is featured in the Toy Camera group.
