  • Just a reworking of my ‘Hardwired for violence’ circuit board gun image using a cropped still from Tarantino’s 1992 cult film ‘Reservoir Dogs’. And creating a reference to Michelangelo’s Hand of God in the Sistine Chapel / - A social commentry piece about the violence we consume through the celluloid format. And a nod to Q…now i didnt say his films weren’t stylish did i?! / aka…eye for an eye! / detail: /

  • A cat’s gaze is intense and carries the collective memories of ancient predators. This one in selective color (only in the eyes). This is a repost of an image without the frame so it can be printed as a card.

  • ‘After Midnight – Revised’ by F.M.Gore-Kelly || 2007

  • My Ship Storm Runner “the pride of the west” has after a long time at sea finally has found a safe harbor for a small time to catch our breaths after exploring along a wild coast. We will look for supplies so as soon as morning dawns I will send a long boat in the morning to see what supplies can be had on shore. It;s a witches Moon this night so no one is willing to go hug the land while the Moon is high and in it’s witchy rainbow faze. My bones tell me another storm is coming so the supplies had better be to hand here soon before the next squall comes our way. Created in Vue. This is the final version of Rainbow Moon and will be sold as Posters, and limited addition Prints here on Redbubble and soon it in the next week or so it will also be in my 2008 Calender coming this week. Probably this one as the March or April picture in it.

  • I revised this using Lightroom to tweek with the colour saturation

  • Student revising in Tom Quad, Christ Church College, Oxford, UK / Finalist of Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year 2008 in People Category

  • A revised version of my ‘Middlesbrough Drops’ watercolour painting. The coal drops on the river Tees estuary, in the 1830’s. / In the foreground, is the Tees river ferry – which in those days, was a small, rowing boat. I love the daunting and weird, distant grey structures, ready to drop the coal upon the collier (coal) ships. My version of a Thomas Harrison Hair, 1837 watercolour. Watercolour and HB pencil.

  • Just a quick in between thing again. This basically shows what I’m going through right now. Except I’m not a guy. And I actually study on my bed, on the couch, in the living room… =P But yes, this is the student life, at least during exam period. Pencil drawing. Background and textures added in Photoshop, as well as the slight shading. Colours appear a bit different here (less red) than they did in Photoshop, but oh well. =)

  • revised australiana…....small place outside of melrose, south australia ive been experimenting with cartoon like clouds such as in ‘the notice board’ for a while, not much has made it to rb yet, but theres a bunch there that i am mulling over to me the pink looked like a puff of smoke from a non existant chimney but i appreciate that not everyone (or anyone for that matter) else probably would think that, and its not to everyones taste. i love australian ruins but they have been done to death. so i am trying and will continue to try and find new ways of representing them that are – dare i say – hopefuly even edgy. I am looking forward to any constructive criticism because i wold really like to get this lot out of my head and in to rb world. chris

  • About 5 years ago I painted this frog in which i inverted the colours. today I felt productive, so when i got home i revised this idea with my tonal project colours of red on green, and with this stock photo of an Australian green tree frog , i created this! enjoy! There are about 214 species (or kinds) of frogs known in Australia, possibly more to be discovered.Of these: / 3 species are presumed extinct, because none have been found for so long, / 14 species are critically endangered, / 18 species are endangered, / 11 species are vulnerable (meaning they may soon become endangered).Frog populations all around the world as well as in Australia are getting smaller at an alarming rate.

  • Up In Smoke (Revised) Creation Date: 9.15.08 Model: / Ahrum Stock parablev / gsso-stock / Bashcorpo / pixeltool-stock

  • Experimenting with trying to create a “new world” through the use of layers and some direct painting using Photoshop

  • revision of an older design / Detail /

  • A 360 degree panorama of a runway intersection on an abandoned WWII airfield, stretched and run through a polar coordinates distortion filter… in other words… A gross distortion of the truth!! :O)

  • hes back, and not kicking butt this time. Only because Jen (my finance) doesn’t want it to kick butt, she reckons its not funny. But i laughed.

  • Came across this wonderful, overgrown, ramshackle old shed around the Armadale area in Perth, Western Australia. I really loved how much character it had. / Deleted the previous version and tweaked the colour contrasts (thanks for the advice of the photography 101 forum contributors) / Camera – Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30

  • This is from my Art Nouveau alphabet series. / Graphite pencil on 220gsm Card (A4) size. / Inspired by the William Morris and the Arts and Crafts era.

  • This version has new sky and no girl—think i like it better without her. :)

  • My technical skills have increased a fair bit since I created the first image “Just a Hand” that I posted here on RB some time ago. I thought it might be interesting to see what I could make of the concept now, with the better equipment and skills that I (hopefully) have. The actual image of the hand here is a new shot, using a much better lens and more selective lighting. The textures though are the same ones I used before, though I have blended them differently to attempt to make use of more compositional techniques that I was not aware of when I made the original. There is a link to the original below – I would be most interested in anyone’s opinions re the relative value and interest of each version…

  • The Apprentice revised version – re-worked it – added new background, color, etc.. stock / ailinstock.deviantart.com / lucieg-stock.deviantart.com xo

  • revised edition of “Granter of Dreams”. Added more tones, contrast, definition – ever so slightly. / Being the end of the year I’m going over some of my older pieces and reworking those I feel need some improvement. ailin-stock.deviantart.com
