  • This photo is of my artwork created by using glass paints on the clear disks at the top and bottom of stacks of CDs orDVDs as I was not sure how the paints would perform on the disks it was a bit of an experiment. / Again flowers are an influence along with stained glass windows. When the wind comes in the door they spin and when the sun shines they spin coloured shadows over the room spreading happy lights over our ordinary lives.

  • My entry to A T-shirt Revolution’s Consumption Challenge Just a little musing on the well worn green message brought about due to everyone’s ferocious consumption of just about everything these days. • Chalk Pastel and Acrylic Liner on Newspaper / 56cmx 40cm I am doing a series of artworks on newspaper as a part of my own reduce, reuse, recycle campaign. I would like to encourage everyone to recycle and reuse what they can. I just saw an episode on Oprah about how much waste is blown into the ocean and around the countryside – it was really shocking but inspired me to market this cause. Let’s do this, not only for ourselves and generations to come, but for the animals who suffer at the hands of our negligence.

  • This is a bit of a story but do bear with me. Whilst sending a fax (which never went through) to my dear friend, i discovered some of my mom’s old photo’s of her and her friends in a field near our house. I am an old photo addict and i just love the tones that these old photo’s had. So now i have them stored for my own use. The lady in these pictures is one of my mom’s dear friends from university and they are simply beautiful photo’s. So i decided, why not peg them up on a washing line with a song. So i searched for a song involving the title “sky”. and this is what came up… Sky Signal – Audible. / We will look for you / From down here / Up into the airwaves / Where you have gone / A crowd of broken sons / And daughters / Listen to confessions / Of what you’ve done / A signal in the sky / Or something / To help explain the thing / That you’ve become / We will look for you / From down here / Up into the airwaves / Where you have gone / Wherever you belong / Wherever you belong / Wherever you belong / Wherever you belong / It is quite a sad song but a beautiful one with very appropriate lyrics… The idea came from a artwork by Luis Mariano González which i mistook for things on a line but was actually a plant! haha! so i decided why not me do it! so i did… more to come..
