  • From my collection: / Alaska North Star ~ Arctic Fantasy Copyright © Sharon Mau 2009 / All Rights Reserved “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. / It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. / We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? / You are a child of God. / Your playing small does not serve the world. / There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. / We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. / It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. / And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. / As we are liberated from our own fear, / our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marrianne Williamson ~ excerpts from Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. I use only my own images to create composites, matrix panoramic images and digital art, therefore I own full copyrights on all my work. This is one of my favourites. It is a composite of three of my images, one of the Chena Slough near North Pole Alaska and two of Interior Alaska brilliant skies Featured in Mountains and Light 29 December 2008 Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

  • I said a few times I would not go back and shoot Sylvia Falls in the Valley of the Waters in Blue Mountains National Park until I got a wide angle lens. This was simply because the full scope of the supreme beauty of these particular falls is within its wholeness, which can only really be shot wide. I got the lens last week. Return To Sylvia Falls – Valley Of The Waters was shot in RAW using a Canon EOS 10D with Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm with a Warm Filter, ISO 200, 1/10 of a sec at f5.6. Featured in MASTERS OF THE SCENIC, Blue Mountains of NSW, Canon DSLR, Nature’s Wonders, Shots in the Fog, and Your Magic Place. Best viewed large! _____ _____ I used the word Return in the title to acknowledge an earlier work shot several months earlier in 2008, with a different lens: _____ See also Splendour In The Mist, which was shot at the same time as Return To Sylvia Falls – Valley Of The Waters All three images are included in the Waterfalls Of The Blue Mountains 2009 Calendar, available now:

  • Returning to the Nest
    by David Friederich

    US$4.48–US$102.60

I was watching a bald eagle nest in Ladner, BC, Canada, which is just south of Vancouver. The adults were coming and going at intervals. This image shows the female returning to the nest, and just about to land on a branch. The nest is to the right of the picture. The image was captured using a Nikon D2Xs camera with a 600mm lens and 1.4 teleconverter mounted on a tripod.

My pound puppy, Glory, was having a blast running through a field of wild grape hyacinth at a friend’s place. She was going so fast it was hard to keep the camera trained on her. But she was so enjoying spring!

  • Returning
    by Jan Timmons

    US$4.66–US$79.80

Geese returning, framed against the Kenai mountain range across Cook Inlet. Signs and sounds of spring near our house, despite ice chunks in the inlet. Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-200mm at f/11 and 1/250 sec, -.3ev, using a circular polarizing filter. IS0 200. Converted from RAW to jpeg using Capture NX2. Light curve and slight crop. Sun sets about 9:45 p.m. these days, and we’re gaining light quickly. Featured in DSLR Users Only – 3 A Day – Thank you. That’s very encouraging! Whoopee! Sold a mounted print! Thank you! I feel so energized I could climb one of those mountains now! /
