  • Extensive use of layers, shapes and textures in Photoshop.

  • Created in Bryce.

  • An assemblage of Photoshop-generated shapes and textures went into this music-inspired piece of . . . . . (add your own word here) / It involved multilayering, mainly in lighten mode and using the warp tool many times to shape objects to suit. Probably, I wasn’t watching the clock, almost three hours involved. / Music by Klaus Schultze, Ministry, Brian Eno, FM Einheit, Orbital and Hula to name a few.

  • A humanoid species from the Garwather in the Romuv Quadrant in the Seventh System. / Another technologically advanced world. Comparison would be Earth in the 24th Century. They are the arch enemy of the Severa, whom we have had dealings with on a number of occasions. / Recommend trade and strategic negotiations as soon as possible. / Created in Photoshop. Two photos ( yes one that I have used before and some of the shapes) were combined as well as layered, mainly in Lighten mode, shapes and textures. Distorting the shapes to suit the image was an important task of course. One of the photos was segmented and only small parts were used. / Involved close on forty layers and approximately four hours.

  • A cybertronic, biomechanical, humanoid-like species from the We Make Biotronns Company in the Forty Fourth Galaxy. / With up-to-the-minute robotic programming they are geniuses when it comes to Electronics, Astrophysics, Mechanical Engineering and cooking. They can fix that leaking reactor core or that antenna outside on the hull or that busted microwave generator in seconds. / The Biotronn mark 12cX is a must to have on your crew for that next journey into space. / For more information go to uww.wemakebiotronns.com.fortyfourthgalaxy / Compiled in Photoshop from a combination of a photograph used in part as a template and elements in the image and shapes and textures I made in Photoshop. / Starting with the photograph the face was cut in two and mirrored then layered with the textures. Then using more of those shapes I distorted them to meld them onto the trunk of the person in the photograph then deleting that portion of the photo. Layering them in Lighten mode. Adding several shapes and textures together in some layers. Deleting excess elements of course. The headpiece was done in Bryce 6 and layered in. The arms were from some textures that already looked metallic and just elongated them. / I keep a bank of shapes and textures that I have created over the years which I am happy to admit that I recycle over and over again.

  • A slight reworking of an earlier image. A photograph built upon to create a somewhat exotic portrait. That of science fiction character who survives on some distant planet. Supposedly a descendant of survivors of an early Earth mission. The conditions on that planet has altered the appearance of our hardy survivors.

  • Somewhere in the depths of the Universe. Where Earth and the Sun don’t even register on the scans. Where the Milky Way is but a splash the size of a micron. Where home is so distant and you begin to have a horrible feeling. A horrible feeling that justs gets worse and despite unconvincing attempts to reassure yourself you realise that you have . . . / You’ve left the gas stove on at home. AGHH!! AGHH!! #&*@@ Created in Bryce 6 and Photoshop CS2.

  • I been a bit flat the last few days so, today, I felt like something colourful and trancey. / Created in Photoshop CS2. / Music by Klaus Schultze / Wahnfried 1883

  • The journey continues. / Created in Photoshop CS2.

  • Log entry 1600122490. / A seemingly abandoned craft of unknown origin found near the A3409 Nebula. All systems functioning. Scans show no life. Possible biological matter (organic but of unknown origin) found in bridge. Science away team investigating. Awaiting report. / Created in Photoshop. Craft made from photographic elements combined with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.

  • Like a moth to the light we find ourselves heading into the bright light at the centre of this as-yet unnamed nebula. What we may find there we have no idea. The light emissions so far have been too bright for the scanners. Not that they are likely to get any less bright the closer we get. / We are determined to see all there is to see out here. This the final frontier . . . oh I am sorry. Somebody has already said that. / Created in Bryce 6 and Photoshop CS2.

  • Created in Photoshop. Photographic elements combined with elements created in Groboto aand Photoshop.

  • Four photographs, a Bryce-generated sunset, several layers of Photoshop-generated shapes and textures comprise the image before you. Criticism always welcome. Music by Novalis, Hilt, Eric Zann, Skinny Puppy and several old cassettes. Took about four hours.

  • The planet is spinning too quickly. Or maybe I should just chill out.

  • The view from up here. Planet surface created in Artmatic Voyager, stars and nebula in Photoshop, the planet in Bryce and the Saturn rings courtesy of JPL/NASA.

  • High over the mountains and peninsula on the southern tip of this small continent on the eight planet in this uncharted sector. / A pristine, Earth-like planet. / Delete this report. / This planet will no longer exist as far as we are concerned. / Leaving this planet unharmed.

  • My other home beneath the red moons and stars on this my little planet and all to myself. / Well I thought I had it all to myself when one evening just as I was sitting by the fire, relaxing . . . The roar of engines and bloody lights . . . There is always something to upset the peace and quiet. Created in Photoshop, Artmatic Voyager and Bryce6/DAZ. And an original photograph.

  • A walk out on the arid part of the planet Hithernoom when the Hithernoom Express passes overhead, which means one thing . . . I’m not going to make it to the spaceport in time to hitch a ride. Created with the help of Artmatic Voyager, Bryce6/DAZ and Photoshop.

  • Spacescape created in Artmatic Voyager, Bryce/DAZ and Photoshop CS2. Real moons courtesy of NASA.

  • Abstract created in Photoshop.

  • Abstract born out of deconstructed photographic elements and tortured Photoshop-generated shapes and textures. / Inspired by a lot of music collage. Post industrial music from the late 80s and early 90s. OK I was playing some old cassettes believe it or not.

  • Or ‘Will o’ the Wisp’. / Title and mood inspired by the Klaus Schulze album. / Satz Gewitter Created in Photoshop CS2 using several original photos and Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.

  • This cosy little scene came from a recent transmission. We have no idea as to its location or origin. Or when this visual was taken. Or even if it is genuine. / Would appreciate it if anybody can verify its authenticity. / Created in Artmatic Voyager (planetscape), Bryce 6/DAZ (the moons, the spacecraft, the towers and the foreground rock formation), and Photoshop for the wisp of cloud, stars and galaxy. Assembled in Photoshop CS2. / Criticism welcome as always.
