  • Linear abstract created in Photoshop.

  • The City is of Night; perchance of Death, / But certainly of Night; for never there / Can come the lucid morning’s fragrant breath / After the dewy dawning’s cold grey air. / - James Thomson 1834 – 1882. / A multisonic little piece of translucent equation for your imperial delights. / The maltreatment of a couple of original photos lovingly crafted and merged with a polyphony (or a symphony), some might say, a cacophony, of Photoshop-generated shapes and textures. Layering modes were Lighten and Burn.

  • J / Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet within the Solar System. It is two and a half times as big as all of the other planets in our Solar System combined. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant. It is primarily composed of hydrogen with a small proportion of helium. It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements under high pressure. Because of its rapid rotation, Jupiter’s shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it possesses a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator) (Source Wikipedia). / Created in Bryce 6.

  • Reworking of an earlier image. / Created in Bryce 6 and Photoshop.

  • An original photograph, deleted the background and part of the foreground and then overlaid a layer of black background Then with the complete picture overlaid it in reverse again deleting most of the fore and background. Then merging the Bryce-created planet/moon and a simple Bryce-created cloud. Then layered in a copy of the isolated building then blurring it slightly and adding it to the mix. Then added the stars and there you have it. / Criticism welcome. #12 Great Features

  • Photos, the face and the dove, merged with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.

  • Abstract collage of shapes, textures and layered with a couple of photos mainly in Ligthten mode. Mirroring and resizing of shapes was done extensively to create the image, which was done in Photoshop CS2. / Title derived from a phrase in the Moody Blues’ song “Higher and Higher”. / Higher and Higher

  • Lost in time. Be it antiquity or future. / Photographed facial features layered with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.

  • Lifeform from one of the small gaseous planets in the Eighth System. Disparagingly dubbed “mutants” and shunned by others in that system we maintain harmonious relations with them. / Known for their ability to transform into anything they please. Shapeshifters. / Omnimorphs. There are many names for them. Although in their normal state they are humanoid in appearance, obviously, genetically they possess some very unique traits. They have a QN chromosome in their DNA which gives them that ability. This ability requires them to “sleep” for periods of up to a week every six months in order to maintain good health. Although apparently conscious during this sleep period they are, in fact, what we call asleep. / This one photographed in an amniobaric chamber in which they regularly use for achieving higher states of consciousness. Oddly, this procedure is accompanied by sounds that remind me of whales back on Earth long ago. / Created in Photoshop. Face made up from features of several images and blended with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.

  • Spectral being from another part of the Universe? / Facial features combined with elements created in Photoshop and Groboto.

  • It started with photographed street lights in foggy darkness and modified using the liquefy tool. Subsequently layered with elements from several other photographs, some of which were also “liquefied”, and shapes and textures that were Photoshop -generated. It involved 31 layers in hue, overlay, lighten, pin, linear and hard lights, multiply, exclusion, difference, colour, screen and normal modes. Criticism always welcome.

  • “A probe hovers above the city. A city where no life exists. Abandoned under circumstances not quite apparent. Some of the systems are still functioning . . . / No sign of trauma. / Where did they go?” / Created in Photoshop and Bryce 6.

  • We have walked this desolate planet’s surface for two hours now after a successful landing. The planet’s surface is completely barren. No sign of life existing or in the past. Atmosphere negligible. Will have to return to the ship as scans show a large meteorite is on a path to collide with this planet in two hours. / Signing off. / Created in Photoshop, Bryce 6 and Artmatic Voyager.

  • Created in Photoshop. Photographic elements combined with elements created in Groboto aand Photoshop.

  • We’ve been here for three weeks now. Perched above the famed / Lake Ssenhcol, on this planet of shadows, where according to myth, lives a strange creature. A mythical, solitary (as far as we know) alien. We have seen nothing of it (if it exists). Scans reveal nothing. Why are we still here I wonder. / I missed an important appointment on Mars because of this futile exercise in investigating this little mystery.

  • In my dreams I walk worlds / I’ve never seen / In my dreams I look thru eyes / of strangers / In my dreams I come face to face / with those strangers / Looking back at me Inspired by dreams and The Doors / People Are Strange / Also inspired by the wonderful creations of retepk / / / created with Apophysis 2.08 3D Hack /

  • Created in GroBoto.

  • In the murky, still waters of the northern hemisphere of the planet, Thallifreon, we see, for illustration purposes, in the same visual, three evolutionary stages of the now-extinct Nemanovathrydd worm. / Yes a worm. And a parasitic one at that. Firstly, the Pre-Cambrian then the Cambrian and, finally, the octopus-like (and very nasty should you be bitten by one), Jurassic model. But as I have said they disappeared with the Jurassic. Sounds a little like Earth doesn’t it. Well it’s not. / In all seriousness, this was contrived with the help of GroBoto and Photoshop. A gum tree (in the background believe it or not) appears (and was not harmed during the making of this picture) courtesy of myself .

  • My other home beneath the red moons and stars on this my little planet and all to myself. / Well I thought I had it all to myself when one evening just as I was sitting by the fire, relaxing . . . The roar of engines and bloody lights . . . There is always something to upset the peace and quiet. Created in Photoshop, Artmatic Voyager and Bryce6/DAZ. And an original photograph.

  • Psychedelic, abstract combination of Photoshop and GroBoto generated shapes and textures.

  • Esoteric. Shamanic? / Hallucination, dream or just a bit of nonsense. / You be the judge if you will. / Photographic elements merged with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures. Planetscape created in Artmatic Voyager.

  • Woke up on this wretched little planet. Awful place. Well not really. / It is beginning to look quite nice. Defies logic though. Makes a mockery of astrophysics and astronomy. Weird things all over the place. Not obvious. Strange. Must be a movie set!! / But how did I get here? Went to sleep in a pod and voila! If anybody recognises this place bmail so I can get back to where I came I hope. Otherwise? How far is the nearest pizza place? Maybe I could stay here a bit longer. / Apologies I’ve had that sort of day. / Created in Artmatic Voyager and Photoshop CS2. / Yes I’ve used that NASA moon again. It is a ripper isn’t it.

  • The first stage of the terraformation of the planet, Ioloscerai, has been completed with the new topography unmistakably resembling the old planet Earth. Seen here is a rooftop shot looking past the tower of the newly completed Grand Hotel towards the Nepean Mountains. / Construction of the new city of Technopolis, some one hundred kilometres from our present position, is now complete. More to follow as Stage Two is completed. / Bookings for the 300-room hotel are still a little difficult to secure but should be right by the end of the present month. / It was agreed, after a lot of debate, to leave the old Ioloescerain moons in their original orbits even though, obviously, they don’t quite fit the Earth replication. Created in Artmatic Voyager with original photographic elements (tower, roofs and cloud) except for the moons, which again, are courtesy of NASA. Crescents and figures created in GroBoto.

  • A cluster of Biscuspinor eggs floats in the gaseous atmosphere of this planet. We can also see a few Aethroa worms that seem to be companion organisms to the Biscuspinor. / The Biscuspinor eggs seem to carry these ring-like objects with them. The reason for this is unknown. Another oddity is that although we have been on this planet for two days now we have never seen what a hatched Biscuspinor looks like. We can only speculate at this stage. Further biological research will have to wait. We cannot stay here for much longer as oxygen supplies seem to be rapidly depleting and a peculiar mould is appearing everywhere inside the ship. / The planet is inhospitable. The atmosphere is extremely toxic. / Wait a minute . . . as I write this there is a change to my skin structure . . . / message ends message ends message ends / Created in GroBoto and Photoshop. / Music by Lustmorde.
