This old FRAMO built until 1957 in Hainichen and Frankenberg, Germany and was one of the sights on a phototour I took with some other photographers from my photoclub. Taken in Steinfurt, Germany.
Classic show car – custom painted in tangerine orange, chopped, lowered and chromed.

Nightshot (10sec exposure) of the side wall of the Zwinger Palace in Dresden, Germany, formerly part of the Dresden fortress of which the outer wall is conserved. The name derives from the German word Zwinger (outer ward of a concentric castle); it was for the cannons that were placed between the outer wall and the major wall. This city was firebombed in 1945 and is being painstakingly rebuilt to its pre-war splendor.

We are all marred by life in some way or another. This image is about overcoming. Overcoming illness (emotional and physical) and destruction of all kinds. This image is about hope and restoration. This old Chev sits awaiting a promise of restoration, meantime it catches the raindrops of a passing thunderstorm.
I think this is an Austin a40 coupe. Beautifully restored. Needed to be photographed…
This was a great day. / I had collected a lot of information and proceeded to sign a treaty with my mind allowing me access to the resources of the wasps. / Wasps do all the maintenance and construction work in my mind and they can be called on to deal with any nasty threats that encroach on my beloved machine. They’re a powerful workforce and I had been granted the use of them, after submitting my designs for careful scrutineering. / First we had to build a giant deck so we weren’t working where the problems were. Then a big Science and Technology building went up. Its the one with the flag showing a microscope. (I had a microscope when I was a kid.) / All that was needed then was someplace for the wasps to go on break, a few admin buildings and a giant dredger with which to haul up bits of mind. These could then be processed and healed in the S&T wing and put back. / Things are well underway here and the success of the project was off the scale I had set for it. God is the author of restoration. I believe God wants to restore Eve and Adam from their fallen states and bring them LIFE so that they may have life and have it abundantly. I know this is true because God is restoring me now at this point in my life! In the words of Jesus: “The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy; but I come so that they may have LIFE, and have it abundantly!” John 10:10 What joy we can have in this promise! :)

Featured in OLD BARNS Around the World! January 22, 2009. / Featured in Rural Around the Globe December 20, 2008. This beautiful old stone barn has always intrigued me. It’s not far from my home, but until recently was almost impossible to reach unless I wanted to walk quite a distance through many large fields. I could only catch a glimpse of it during certain times of the year … and my imagination would spin when I saw it!! In the years that I’ve lived here, a few subdivisions have grown up close by, and the barn is now accessible. It was bought and refurbished recently. Here is how it looks today … lovely … but oh … I wish I had taken that long, long walk, so long ago … to see it as it used to be. This image was shot in May of 2008 with my Nikon D40x, using the 18-135 mm lens and the polarizing filter. Settings: shutter 1/800, ap f/14, exposure -.33. The clouds were added as a compilation. I used Photomatix to create this HDR image.

“The LORD your God is with you, / he is mighty to save. / He will take great delight in you, / he will quiet you with his love, / he will rejoice over you with singing.” “The sorrows for the appointed feasts / I will remove from you; / they are a burden and a reproach to you. At that time I will deal / with all who oppressed you; / I will rescue the lame / and gather those who have been scattered. / I will give them praise and honor / in every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will gather you; / at that time I will bring you home. / I will give you honor and praise / among all the peoples of the earth / when I restore your fortunes / before your very eyes,” / says the LORD. / ~Zephaniah 3:17-20 Stock Credits: / Texture by http://inthename-stock.deviantart.com/ / Horse by http://absurdus.deviantart.com/ / Woman by http://mizzd-stock.deviantart.com/ / Background by http://anarasha-stock.deviantart.com/

Lincoln Cathedral shares with Durham the most spectacular placing of any of the British cathedrals. It can be seen from approximately 20 miles in certain directions. The Cathedral was built mainly in three periods: Norman (1075-1092), Early English (1191-1250 then 1256-1300) and then alterations and additions in 14th & 15th Centuries. In the late 17th Century the Wren Library was built and the cloister walk restored. Various other works and restorations have been carried out ever since. The Cathedral is 482 ft long and the crossing tower is 271 ft high. The chancel vault is 74 ft high and the nave 82 ft. The majority of stone used in the construction is local Oolitic limestone. The main visitors entrance is by the south door in the west front and as you enter the Cathedral shop is on your extreme right. Sometimes you may find the Nave full of chairs in rows but very often it is completely empty and is quite breath taking. Do come and enjoy a visit! “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, / The crawling locust, / The consuming locust, / And the chewing locust, / My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, / And praise the name of the LORD your God, / Who has dealt wondrously with you; / And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: / I am the LORD your God / And there is no other. / My people shall never be put to shame. “ / ~Joel 2:25-27 Stock Credits: / Sxc.hu / aurochstock.deviantart.com
