The egret is going to a place of rest in the tree. Resting is good. It’s another way to rejuvenate the body and mind. A time when the body heals its hurts. A time to reflect. This is a compilation of the egret, and tree. The landscape, sky, sun and water were generated in Photoshop. The reflections of the tree and egret were created with a reverse image, and reduced opacity. I’m not quite sure if I got the egret reflection perspective right and would appreciated your comments. Oil Pastel and Acrylic (With minor digital enhancements) For all the troubled souls out there, Ophelia wishes that you a pleasant sweet good night’s sleep and rest soon :D In times like these with many suffering from economic and job woes, there are people losing sleep over the lack of certainty of their futures….some of these are my close friends….a good night’s rest has become such a rare commodity for them. This started off as an encouragment card, send this card to someone who hasnt been getting restful sleep lately due to all the preoccupations with his/her woes. A well earned rest, after a long ride through the waters of the Okavango. The mokoro’s take a break. / The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta in the world. / The Okavango Delta has no outlet to the ocean, instead it empties onto the sands of the Kalahari desert. Each year some 11 cubic kilometres of water reach the delta. At any point during our ride through the delta, the water was always crystal clear. I remember looking over the side of the Mokoro down into the water, it was quite deep (approx 6-7ft) and still very clear; you could see the bottom. Taken in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Febuary 2007.
