I uploaded a similar photo of colorful adirondack chairs taken on Captiva Island, Florida, and got a comment from Jerry Alcantara suggesting that the photo would make a good “I miss you” card. Thanks for the tip, Jerry. I went with it, looked over similar images of those adirondacks, and chose this one to make into that card. I think it fits the bill! one of my favourite winged insects, their colour and beauty is a wonderful thing and we have spent many hours this summer walking around the river near us, I know call it Dragonfly River it has been wonderful but picking just one photo that portrays the beauty is not so easy as I would have love to be that bit nearer (impossible when there is water between us) but it still shows the wonderous blues I hope! Both Jason Connolly and myself spotted this beautiful serene scene whilst out photographing the beautiful Derwent reservoir in Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park, England. We had stopped upon finding an old jetty back in the woods, close to the shore line. Whilst exploring the area, we both noticed the lovely tree that which gives shelter to a wonderful area where obviously people had camped in the past. It reminded me of the type of place one might sit and contemplate life, the good times and the hardships, the joys and the sorrows. I certainly would love to camp here myself and take time to look at the star cluttered night sky. This is a HDR image combining 3 bracketed shots using Photomatix Pro for Macs.
