Putting aside all owl’s routines , Opelia decided to take a well deserved break by a nearby river. She perched herself on a frangipani tree and was delighted to be greeted by some pretty bright red frangipanies. She indulged herself with the company of these red beauties who seemed eager to know what brought this nocturnal creature to a riverside on a bright sunny afternoon. “Life’s just too beautiful to sleep it away!” Ophelia replied in a playful tone. Taken at Buttermere in the Lake District, when I met up for the first time with friends from Red Bubble – Jason Connolly and Steve Smith. First R.B meet for me with them and I had a great day out. As the light came out that morning it was emitting a lovely blue hue over Buttermere and this was reflected in the lake itself. It was beautiful there that morning, the scenery is amazing. Taken on a Canon EOS 450D with an 18-55 IS lens.

On the walk around Buttermere at the end of the valley stands Fleetwith Pike. It stands at 648 m (2,126 ft). The view from the summit gives a fine prospect of the Buttermere valley which also takes in the other two lakes of Crummock Water and Loweswater. Taken on a Canon EOS 450D with an 18-55mm lens.
