A playful, colourful scene of a romantic, cozy, little moon-lit trattoria with my two notorious cats.
Plazza San Marco, Venice about 2000 or thereabouts. Expensive coffee. Good though. Nice view from the tower and a regular shot by the tourists but then again I was one. Like being a tourist. Like coffee too.
Nothing too serious, Siena has just ordered her Salt n Pepper squid and the order is taking longer than expected…. We do live in the lucky country if that’s all she’s got to cry about…

watercolour 18” x 24” on Arches paper This is a bit of a departure from my usual realistic style. I felt inspired to loosen up a little and give this an impressionistic feel. It is a portrait of Charles Wilkins, Canadian author, at the Madhouse Restaurant in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Been eating a lot of Japanese food, lately.
Shot today on the streets of Tel Aviv /
I had taken a series of shots of this restaurant one day while waiting for my order to be served. I remember the light felt so good, and the food was so fantastic. The waitress was so cute and darling as well. China King, take out food. Cape Coral , Florida

The interior of one of the small rustic looking cafe / restaurants in Degraves Street, Melbourne. The lane way is crammed with cafes and restaurants, with tables and chairs packed to capacity down the centre of the lane. European influence has a lot to do with why this hidden feature of Melbourne city ended up this way. I don’t think I have ever walked down Degraves Street and seen it empty. Places like this are the reason I love living in Melbourne so much. Bit of colour blanching and lightening of contrast, all done in photoshop. Original photo slightly cropped (to remove an mac book from the view!) Title inspired by Beth Orton’s song of the same name.
