Quill and Shadow in Macro. I found it lying as is on the rocks beside the sea in the dried up oxidised mineral residue and earth which was seeping from the cliff above.

Acrylic / mixed media piece – 20×28 inches. The main structure of this painting is folded, crimped paper adhered to the base with gesso and glue, then coated with layers of gesso and Mod Podge “hard coat”. More texture is added with styrofoam packing peanuts and plastic beads. Finally, there are numerous coats and colors of acrylic paints including gold metallic at the tips of peaks. The highest peaks on this artwork are approximately 3” high.
