A few days ago recently in NJ, we had so much fog, that i could barely see anything over about 10 feet. So, instead of going to work – i figured i would rather go to a park and look around how it is. The good thing is that it was perfect day in autumn – when the leaves were golden and sun was coming out breaking the fog. Just pull up your chair, get a cup of coffee and relax. This is what dreamlands are for.

This tiny bird orchid, (Chiloglottis sp), was standing guard at the Kate Reed Reserve in Launceston when a final straggling sunray broke through the surrounding trees to illuminate him. Chiloglottis orchids are pollinated by deceived male thynnine wasps who transfer pollen from one plant to another while believing they are lavishing their attentions on a female of their own species. Only comments about the photo please – no inappropriate jibes about the gullibility of the male gender!
