Marriotts Falls in in the Marriotts Falls State Reserve near Mt Field National Park in Tasmania.
A few days ago recently in NJ, we had so much fog, that i could barely see anything over about 10 feet. So, instead of going to work – i figured i would rather go to a park and look around how it is. The good thing is that it was perfect day in autumn – when the leaves were golden and sun was coming out breaking the fog. Just pull up your chair, get a cup of coffee and relax. This is what dreamlands are for.

Something about this pod intrigued me. So much so that I lost track of my dog, Shadow, for about fifteen minutes. This was taken at Whiting Road Nature Preserve in Webster, NY.

This was one of a small family of impala which suddenly took fright at a distant movement. Their leaps and high kicks are aimed to give a predator the impression that they are a lot bigger than they actually are. Close to our home there is a nature reserve….this is some of the pic’s I took. Enjoy! /
This tiny bird orchid, (Chiloglottis sp), was standing guard at the Kate Reed Reserve in Launceston when a final straggling sunray broke through the surrounding trees to illuminate him. Chiloglottis orchids are pollinated by deceived male thynnine wasps who transfer pollen from one plant to another while believing they are lavishing their attentions on a female of their own species. Only comments about the photo please – no inappropriate jibes about the gullibility of the male gender!
