This was taken at an old job of mine. It was his last night at the research facility. Thankfully he’s now at a refuge for retired research chimps.
A large Sci-fi piece, rendered in Vue and then had the building painted in photoshop.

Delta S is the mathmatical form for the change of entropy, usually heat, in an enclosed system. In the universe entropy is always changing, never staying stable.

We decided 12 months prior to attend the annual Relay for life. Within that 12 months my son’s Pop was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His grandmother continued her battle with breast cancer and then only 2 days before the relay he lost his beloved Pa to cancer. / Relay was a fantastic, supportive setting for the kids to express their grief, all while raising much neded funds for cancer research. / Photo taken at Cessnock, NSW Australia / Child aged 10 at time of photograph

Accepted in Boots 2 Heal juried art show, Morton Street Gallery, Richmond, TX to benefit Breast Cancer Research Each entry was required to feature a pair of boots in some way, shape, or form. Entries chosen included paintings, mixed media pieces, sculptures, and photography. As part of my entry I included a paragraph on what I wanted this image to say: “In my photograph I wanted to evoke the atmosphere of the journey a breast cancer patient takes on their way to recovery. The gray-to-black stone road and large ominous trees gives the impression of a long, hard fight to go home; hence, The Dark Road Home. The typical pink breast cancer ribbon is created using aged barbed wire painted partially pink to signify that the research itself has a prickly nature and a long way to go. It lays across a pair of brightly colored boots. Highlighting this portion of the photo signifies the hope that breast cancer research brings, enabled by the Boots 2 Heal organization.” Nikon D40X, f/36.0, ISO 100, focal length: 55.0mm, metering mode: pattern, no flash SOLD AT THE BOOTS 2 HEAL JURIED ART SHOW
Vivax is one of the giant Phyllostachys / . It grows very fast. / In fact it grows so fast that it’s / vivacious speed led to it’s name Vivax. / This grove of Vivax at the WSU Research grove / was planted in 2001. / And only five short years later / it was already one of the top producers / of shoots for harvest. Out of the seven varieties of bamboo planted in four replicates, / the top producers are Rubro, Yellow Groove, and / Vivax. / But what really stands out about Vivax is not the quantity of shoots / but their size. / Japanese chefs love large shoots! / And so they bring in more money per pound. Me I’d rather let them grow / , though. Look how awesome these poles are! Wow!
The Kids, Mum and I attended Relay For Life to support and raise money for Cancer research and support only days after the kids Pa passed away. This is my Mum and my Son with their messages of love.
Just down the road from in a small village called Edginswell, there is a house that puts on a great Christmas Light Display for charity every year and raising money for cancer research. We always go “Christmas Light Spotting” every year and always stop at this one to donate some money and watch the smiles on our kids faces as they walk around looking at all the amazing lights. Again, for any sales from this photo, I shall also donate 100% to Cancer Research. Pentax K200D / SMC Pentax DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL
