I Just got back from 7 days at Mauritius . / Took a few photos while I was over there , tried some wildlife shots of the birds and other wildlife as well , not what im normally used to . / A few turned out okay , but the I was only using the standard kit 75 -300 mm lens which wasnt the best for sharpness . This shot was of a little lizard that were every where over there . / He was getting some rays over looking the coast :)

We just took a family vacation to Queensland and visited Australia Zoo while we were there (if you get the chance, get along to it. Well worth it). Caught this little chap sitting on a fence railing. He is a Water Dragon and is approximately 6 inches long. It had us in stitches! Every time i took a shot, he would put his hand up. / Nikon D300, 80 – 400mm at 180mm, f/5, 1/200, ISO 400 / . / / . /

Over the last few days I’ve been at a music camp in Mt Evelyn called Oasis and the owner of the camp has a little reptile house he keeps as a hobby/ attraction for the camp. He is obviously very passionate about his little beauties and this afternoon he very obligingly allowed me to take some pics of his critters. John was a great, helping to pose the animals and going out of his way to help me get good shots an amazing experience I was priviledged to experience. Last week I went to check the mail and there was a huge blue- tougue lizard chilling out on my doorstep. I watched him for a while, fed him a strawberry, Then went inside and started painting lizards! My Favourite piece was this green iguana. / Enjoy.
