This is a photograph of when I visited my Mother back in Oregon. It started raining, so we picked some of her gladiolas and brought them inside before they were bent over and the beauty was ruined. Mom held the long stem as I photographed it with the light of her window on some black cloth she found. Mom is a good helper! A very busy aircraft – airport hops from Blantyre in Malawi to Johannesburg, to Windhoek in Namibia, to Luanda in Angola and back to home base. All in one day. /
