  • This piece is relating to how I am a virtual architect. The lattice spheres represent the inner child trying to escape and the golden globes symbolize the delicate balance between light (Happiness) and heaviness (Burdens). Throughout life we are always challenged especially in the facets of emotions and we strive for some perfection in an area of our life. The sky is brooding, it abounds with beauty but easily could turn into a storm like our emotions. The ground is solid but with imperfections. The outer sphere coveting the lattice sphere is symbolic of protecting ones own heart. The absence of forms in the golden sphere represents loss as we all suffer loss in friends, family, pets, and even faith. The spheres blended into the ground bare the relationship to being grounded and not losing touch with reality, but as you can see sometimes if we do its only for a brief moment. The shadows, simple…sometimes we hide behind ourselves in fear of rejection or exceptance with others. We all have the right to be individuals, but we choose to live as we want, and we should love who we become in the end. My art is my escape, a way to handle emotions, loss, share happiness, vent anger, seek intimacy, etc. If you take the time to notice what I title my pieces by, you can see many aspects of me and who i am, whats going on in my life at the moment. Art is an expression of emotions and sometimes we have to be our own Virtual Architect in life.©2007 / . / . / .Lisa C. • Dear William; Well honey its been 9 days I have been down here in the submersible, I’m studying the dolphins this month. I wish you were here to see them all interacting, its just amazing. They dont seem to be bothered with my presence anymore. / Ive been studying these beautiful creatures daily and the team wants to test their certain abilities and game behavior. We placed large cubed objects on the floor of the ocean to which they could be tested for long extended periods of time. It didnt take long until they did accept the objects, or even the lights going on when they entered them. Our little friends appeared to love this one in front of me the most and are joyously entertaining themselves daily with little games like, who can could turn through the cube the quickest. The elders are less likely to join in but remain near by. Perhaps their knowledge of such non sea elements are considered a breach of territory or considered a possible threat. / Well I better get back to work….Talk soon! / . / . / . / Journal Entry: June 12th, 2012 / Day 9…. / Quadrant 8 / Subjects: Ling’s Pod / Time: 2:34pm / Grouping: Ling’s pod has remained since dropping the cubes. No other pods have appeared. / Territorial Issues: Ling appears watchful of outside interference, even small fish / Flashing Light Reactions: Adults still unsettled, young adults intriqued / Gaming: The young adults appear most engaged while others try but end quickly, still unsure why / Emotional Stress: None at this time / Time of Cubing Interactions: Mostly between 10am & 4:40pm, seems feeding schedules counter the play activity. ©2007 Lisa C. • Back when I was interested in super detailed pencil renderings I pulled this drawing out of my butt. It’s insane. My eyes hurt by the time I was done with it. My friends looked at me weird and my parents said they no longer wanted me as their son. I was shunned by society as a whole once they realized the amount of time I must have spent hunched over my drawing table working on a drawing of a frog. In fact, there’s SO much detail in this that if it doesn’t make you pee your underpants I’ll pee mine. Either way someone is walking out of here bow-legged, stinky, and embarrassed.

  • Grosso modo, the story continues this way: / Quietly, one day the daughters are sitting embroidering , until Angustias rushes furiously back into the room. Someone has taken her picture of Pepe from under her pillow. Bernarda, hearing the commotion, enters and demands to be told which sister is the thief. Strangely, it is Martirio who has hidden it in her bed, a joke on her sister, she says. Adela is enraged with jealousy and even tells Angustias that Pepe only wants her for her money. Bernarda, after attempting to hit Martirio, screeches at them to stop and orders them away. She is obeyed as usual. / Later, Poncia, the maid, tries to warn Bernarda that Pepe is the cause of all the troubles in the house and must be married quickly. Bernarda refuses to accept this. Poncia tells her he is really Adela’s sweetheart and asks that they marry. Again Bernarda dismisses her suggestion. Angustias returns and in talking, the three realize that Pepe has been leaving Angustias at one, but not leaving the house till four in the morning. It is Adela he is with, as only Poncia knows. / Only three days remain till Angustias and Pepe are to marry. She expresses her worry to Bernarda that he seems distracted. Her mother advises her to ask him nothing and say less, and to never let him see her cry. Angustias is unhappy but cannot fathom why. Later, the women have a quiet evening, quite peaceful and Pepe is not expected _ he´s supposed to be away on a trip. But, as people begin to settle for the night, Adela slips out to the corral (stable) in order to meet Pepe again. • © 2009 Danilo Lejardi / (Mira is a red giant star estimated 200-400 light years away.) I felt so moved when I first read Dead Suns and Dying Stars, the poem by artist Lianne that I couldn´t help but trying to create an image inspired by it. I know a single image cannot express nor the visceral universe of this poem, neither its infinite subtilities, but it´s just my way of trying to deal with my own feelings and to draw things out. / Thanks from the heart, dear Lianne, for feeding our souls with this outstanding inspiration! Here´s the poem by artist Lianne Schneider. Dead Suns and Dying Stars Empty stars devoid of light, / ashen suns devoid of heat / litter the universe frozen, lifeless, / all dead or dying in the cosmos / winking out like houses gone dark. / And I am Mira in her death throes / orbiting the dead, cold core of you / my binary companion, love star whose / nearness once radiated light to me / whose chemistry generated atomic reactions / in my heart and in my superheated core- / the heat of our fusion the physics / of our intimate and co-dependent galaxy. / When your intense desire had cooled / and your inner fuel of love was spent, / your cataclysmic collapse became the trigger / that sent me hurtling through the cosmos / throwing off the light and heat and color / of all I had become in a fiery comet tail / signifying my fall from your grace. / A thousand light years from now / my death will still be emblazoned on the sky / for love dies no more quickly than a star. © Lianne Schneider October 2009
