So it’s not really that I have so much extra time to do things like this… but who could resist staging a fight between their stapler and staple remover by the sink and turning it into a photoshoot? /
A poor man had twelve children and he had to work day and night to provide them with even bread. When a thirteenth came into the world, the man was so distressed that he didn’t know what to do. Finally he ran out into the high road, resolved to ask the first person he met to stand godfather. The first person he met was God…

OK, many people ask me how I get my black and white photos done, and most of the time I try my hardest to explain it all through a reply email. But recently a bubbler bubblemailed me and asked, so THIS time I figured I’d draw one up. So 4 hours later and I think Im done. WARNING: LARGE LARGE LARGE FILE!! WILL TAKE A WHILE TO DOWNLOAD But once downloaded, I suggest that you right-click and SAVE, so you dont have to come back each time. =) And another thing – sorry if there is incorrect spelling, punctuation etc. I didnt read over it! OKIE DOKIE – so for starters, pick a image you would like to turn into black and white. Ive made this tut to suit a portrait photo. You can do it with landscape, etc. Just with some common knowledge of where to edit and put things. Shouldn’t be too hard! So here is my orginal: / This is a photo of my mate Tristan. Pretty plain photo of him sitting in the car, on our way to the races. =) HERE WE GO! WOO-LAH! I also just edit to get rid of his moles, etc. That might be my next tutorial – haha! Hope this helps guys! Feel free to comment if you need help etc. I’ll try and do my best to answer them for you!
Further up the corridor to the staff residence was another trolley, im guessing these were used for removals when this site was closed. Above it is the ivy coming through the walls and joints, what will be the removal of this building given long enough. There are already places where the joints and mortar are cracking because the roots of the ivy is starting to push through them and force cracks into them.

I think it’s important to remember that whilst It’s good to celebrate living in Australia with all our diversities and cultures and freedom it’s just as important to acknowledge the ways in which we could change and grow. Saying “sorry” to the original Indigenous inhabitants of this country is the first of many important steps that must be taken in order for the healing of past and present wrongs to take place….when this is done we will truly be able to move forward and celebrate Australia day for all.

The ceiling tiles have dropped, and the wall tiles are following suit. Its now a race between the floor tiles and the tiles on the side of the serving counter in the kitchen of this abandoned radar research facility.
OK so Clive Barker is a genious. This drawing, however, has nothing to do with him. I just realised most of my doodles are done on king size pack cigarette paper. And I don’t even smoke. “Listening to:” Samsas Traum – Wenn schwarzen regen / “Reading:” Abarat II by Clive Barker / “Drinking:” Bacardi Rigo! \m/

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Moonscape – Queenstown Queenstown, Tasmania, Australia. You could be forgiven for thinking that you had stepped onto another planet when you first come across Queenstown, located 260km west of Hobart. The barren, bald hills are the result of the copper mining that was done here over 73 years. The sulphurous residue from the Mount Lyell Copper Mine stripped the earth of everything living and left a grey and brown sludge over the surrounding hills and plains. / Owing to a combination of tree removal for use in the smelters, the smelter fumes (for about 40 years), and the heavy annual rainfall, the erosion of the shallow horizon topsoil back to the harder rock profile contributed to the stark state of the mountains for many decades. / Typical of the successions that occur in fire affected areas in Western Tasmania, the low shrubbery that has revegetated adjacent to hillside creeks is a very early stage of a long recovery for the ecology of the region. / Some concern by local residents in the 1980s, and since, that the low-level succession of plants might affect the stark ‘moonscape’ appearance of the southern parts of Mount Lyell, and northern Mount Owen. Although there are still large areas incapable of sustaining regrowth due to the acute slopes and lack of soil formation, the rate of vegetation recovery will render the mythologies arising from the appearance as only partial truths in time.

Here’s a simple tutorial for those wanting to turn their photographs into tee-shirts without using the background – in other words, to make your photo of a beer bottle or candle have a transparent background that will work on almost any colour of shirt. This will also help you isolate objects with transparent backgrounds to use in 3D images, or to pull into other 2D images (compilations or collages). You can download the tutorial from here (the tutorial is in pdf format): Isolating Objects with Photoshop’s Pen Tool I’m sorry but the directions are for PC users. If someone wants to send me the equivalent mac terminology I’ll be happy to add it to the tutorial. Any questions (or you just want to point out mistakes…which, like everyone else I do make, and sometimes miss), feel free to bubble me :)
I guess it still hurts
My neck was on fire. Every time I touched one finger to click the mouse it sent a wave of red light up my back to my shoulder. It seemed the more I attempted gentle movement of this finger the more stress I felt. / So I decided to grab the nerve from my neck and take it out to see what it was up to. At first it just blared a red light and throbbed a dull, heavy beat that reminded me of a car driving by playing rap music. / “Be gentle,” It said. / I imagined the red turning blue and the music to be Bach. I imagined, but the nerve didn’t feel like imagining the same thing and it continued its red, ghetto beat and pinching, pulling, tearing, fighting with gravity, time and illusion. / I put it back into my neck and continued to type. Sometimes it’s easier to take a Tylenol than to figure out the meaning of things and try to change them.
The same shot as last night minus the xmas lights and my neighbor shovelling lol
