A poor man had twelve children and he had to work day and night to provide them with even bread. When a thirteenth came into the world, the man was so distressed that he didn’t know what to do. Finally he ran out into the high road, resolved to ask the first person he met to stand godfather. The first person he met was God…
I think it’s important to remember that whilst It’s good to celebrate living in Australia with all our diversities and cultures and freedom it’s just as important to acknowledge the ways in which we could change and grow. Saying “sorry” to the original Indigenous inhabitants of this country is the first of many important steps that must be taken in order for the healing of past and present wrongs to take place….when this is done we will truly be able to move forward and celebrate Australia day for all.
So it’s not really that I have so much extra time to do things like this… but who could resist staging a fight between their stapler and staple remover by the sink and turning it into a photoshoot? /
The ceiling tiles have dropped, and the wall tiles are following suit. Its now a race between the floor tiles and the tiles on the side of the serving counter in the kitchen of this abandoned radar research facility.
Further up the corridor to the staff residence was another trolley, im guessing these were used for removals when this site was closed. Above it is the ivy coming through the walls and joints, what will be the removal of this building given long enough. There are already places where the joints and mortar are cracking because the roots of the ivy is starting to push through them and force cracks into them.
OK so Clive Barker is a genious. This drawing, however, has nothing to do with him. I just realised most of my doodles are done on king size pack cigarette paper. And I don’t even smoke. “Listening to:” Samsas Traum – Wenn schwarzen regen / “Reading:” Abarat II by Clive Barker / “Drinking:” Bacardi Rigo! \m/

So many times you see a SIGN posted where someone has changed the wording on it by crossing them out or changing the letters. This was a sign in an outhouse at a wildlife area parking lot…. CAN YOU figure out what word I removed and which one I moved on this sign in Photoshop to read the way it is now? / Please do not deface property, take a picture and then do it at home! Taken at Fern Ridge Wildlife Area in Lane County, Oregon on April 1, 2009. /
a field near my house in Lawton, Oklahoma. A lovely foggy morning. This was about 8am. May 7th… i think… 2009 oh… that little white dot is a bird… I thought about PS-ing it out, but…. no… all I did was alter the contrast a touch and crop a little off the top and bottom… Nikon D80
Yes…Lil’Bit (aka-Skinny) got well enough to go and finally see the Dr. about the neuter surgery! MAJOR advancement in our quest to help Lil’Bit become a happy little Taco Dog. For those of you just now reading about this little guy…we rescued him from the wilds of the Nevada desert…Found him on our front porch in a little ball, starved and near death. I woke up a few days ago and saw that he had gone in and laid down in the pet travel crate on his OWN!!! / I silently said my prayers and thank-you’s to any unseen force that may have finally given me a break…and I walked over quietly and closed the door. Well this wasn’t what he was expecting so we had some whining and fuss… but I was too busy calling the Vet hoping beyond hope they could see me and what a golden opportunity this was. / With luck they were able to work us in…it was quite the excersize for the Vet and her techs to now get Lil Bit out of the crate without the signiture biting response… I just told them I was going to leave…I didn’t want to hear or know how they decided they were going to handle him…to be careful and Good Luck! / Today I picked him up and all went off with out a hitch…needless to say, he is not the Favorite of the Vet’s office but they all seemed like they too felt they had passed a test being able to handle this over aggressive little 3 pound dog with GREAT BIG TEETH!!! / So we are home now…just awaiting recovery on his part and the hormone levels to slowly reduce so we can start a new chapter. / Wish us luck…I took this capture when he finally woke up in one of his favorite spots and told him the news…Thanks for taking the time to have a read and maybe a chuckle…
A feeling of agony… or I’ve tried! ;P The original shot is a portrait through an opaque glass window.
