The dirty lord of the manor surveys his filthy domain. Too many nights raising hell worked a little all too well. Constructed a monument to denial and excess, sunk so low, crawled so far back there’s nowhere left to regress. If these walls could talk, they would tell a horror story; Never-ending winter, violence and infidelity. Shadows fall through broken panes. Careless words that are filled with hate. Just enough to keep it together, never enough to make it work. Follow the path of least expectance. I don’t hate you, I’m just removing an enemy. Remorse is for the dead, my enemy. Remorse is for the dead.

An image of remorse. Hoping that being truly penitent will purge the real or imagined guilt. In one’s low times ( I’m speaking for myself ) it often helps to reflect on past wrongs that one has perpetuated, and try to analyse why one acted as one did. Sometimes it’s healing; other times destructive. I imagine it’s akin to prayer, but you have to purge your guilt yourself. So, you paint a picture of how remorseful you think you should look. In this particular case on Canson paper, which has a slight ‘tooth’, takes paint well, and is thick enough to work on ( even using acrylics ), that no wetting and pre-stretching is necessary. Canson have been producing fine quality paper since the 16th Century, which is a fair indication of its popularity. I use it a lot. This image in acrylics is 350 mm x 500 mm.
This is the follow up photo to “Frog in my throat”. The morning after I photographed this guy swallowing up one of his own, there he was, sitting on a log with his back to me. I took this as an opportunity to get a shot of a frog leaping into the water, or at least a mug shot for the police files. I crept slowly towards him with a finger ready on the shutter release. He spun around quickly and suddenly I had this big grinning face in my view. Quite a contented look, and, without a doubt, no remorse. Photo taken at Mud Lake, in Ottawa, Canada.
created for the Horror Photo-manip challenge. What is there to say except its a zombie (yes not exactly original) and it kinda looks like it/she is crying. I made an art video of me making this which if it takes your fancy you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mkq-HDOq-TU Total time approx: 55min
Matthew 27:3-4 When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and other leaders. “I have sinned,” he declared, “for I have betrayed an innocent man.” “What do we care?” they retorted. “That’s your problem.”
this pitcher came about after producing a number of the grail quest images i had seen some staned glass were the images showed angles in morning and i wanted to produce an image just as powerful but in my own stile and in my own way. I knew it had to be dark but at the same time give you the felling of being enclosed by something greater than ourselves and in many ways i feel this is what i managed to achive

Memory is a blanket of choices made, forgotten segments of a life once lived. The regret settles in. “I am so sorry I hurt you”. “If only I had a second chance”. Sadly memories can’t be remade. Once the choice is made…it fades, into a consequence of decisive action. We must live with. We must carry on. “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS TO US!” She screams. “DID YOU EVER LOVE ME?, DID YOU EVER CARE?” It all spirals, in my head. “DID YOU LOVE HER MORE THAN ME?” How do you answer that… So foggy. So dense. “A HOTEL? YOU TOOK HER TO A HOTEL?” Confused. I could not speak, even a single word. Everything is so cloudy… I can’t believe this is happening. The door slams… as she leaves… Leaving me to my foggy memory, trying to figure out just why I do what I do… The fog is always settled in.
i don’t agree with hunting…
