  • A wall of bricks, a steel door, and a drain pipe….

  • Old building with all of the windows covered, no one was home,

  • Requested work for the completion of a home remodeling. WINNER of photography 101 celebration challenge result

  • Old Buildings are fun to explore you never know what you are going to see.

  • Location: Historic Folsom / Technique: IR Infrared Photography

  • This was taken during the construction of my room.

  • Old buildings just get better with age and become art…well sometimes

  • From the street this looks like an old building with no life and left to die, on the other side was a business full of people, vehicles and lots of life.

  • A place to sit down and read a good book.

  • The Heywood Wakefield Mill in Gardner, MA was known worldwide for its chairs and furniture. The Heywood Bros. started a chair/furniture making business from their barn only to become world renowned for it’s fine craftsmanship. The original barn they started the business in burned. The Heywood Wakefield Co. discontinued making furniture several years ago and the buildings were converted to condos and apartments while maintaining the outer facade as remembered in it’s glory days. / Shot with Canon A 560 edited in Serif PhotoPlus X2 in the Orton style / / / Copyright 2008 Rebecca Bryson. • A San Francisco, California landmark in black and white

  • The river Brathay heading it’s way through Clappersgate in Cumbria, with the force of a winter down pour . Shot in the Lake District in Cumbria

  • The First National Bank building in the tiny burg of Goree, Texas is being remodeled with loving hands. I can’t wait to see the finished project! Taken in Goree, Texas – Knox County – with a Canon D30. Hue and saturation adjusted slightly.

  • A decaying entry way to an old building in Goree, Texas. Much of the little town is being renovated by either the city or private citizens. This facade has been purchased and the entrance will be reworked to look like an old West building. There are no guts to the building – no flooring, no ceiling – it will actually be used as a loading dock for the business next door. I think that is very inventive and will be much better for all who live, drive by, or work in the area. Taken in Goree, Texas, Knox County, with a Canon D30. Unsharp mask and 3D Transform Render added.

  • Not a little house by any means and probably not the slightest bit like the house in the popular TV show. It doesn’t even have a white picket fence and the smell of fresh mountain muffins baking. LMAO! OK, I don’t know where the title came from and it fits about as well as Nike’s on a banana slug. So sue me. :-D This fine piece of Sacramento architecture is in my neighbourhood, a few blocks away and still has some of the old sash windows. Most of them were removed from remodeled homes because of safety, draftiness, broken sashes, or all the previous. My guess is that these are retrofitted to help maintain the authenticity of the neighbourhood. There are serious rules about putting visible modern changes on ‘old city’ properties. The tipoff for me is the glass sizes: they don’t match on top and bottom. The oldest sash windows opened exactly 50% and you wouldn’t see a dual window frame if the window was fully opened. Compare the large picture windows on the lower left side with all the windows on the upper floors. The really odd part is the windows on the right side of the first floor. They match nothing, are out-of-place for the period, and creep around the side of the house too. Someone got away with it for some reason and the results are a mismatch of periods, styles, and architectural balance. The bottom of the house is two different houses. LMAO!

  • Original funny horror movie screenprint featuring the house in Amityville at 112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island, NY. “For Sale: 6 Bedrooms, 3.5 bath, fully remodeled. Smell is finally out!”

  • And you complain about your kitchen !
