“Begin today! No matter how feeble the light, let it shine as best it may. The world may need just that quality of light which you have.” Henry C. Blinn

This tree root is on the northern periphery of our property. We’ve lived here for over 35 years, and it’s been here all that time, in exactly the same state you see it here. I marvel at its perfect heart shape and think it’s a little note from God to remind me of his undying love. I borrowed the title from the refrain of a hymn written by Father John Foley, S.J. / Here are the lyrics of that hymn: Dwelling Place / by John Foley, SJ I fall on my knees to the Father of Jesus / The Lord who has shown us, the glory of God. May He in His love give us strength for our living / The strength of His Spirit, the glory of God. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love. May grace and peace be yours in God our Father / And in His son. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love.
Small but beautiful – and useful too. Wear this ‘post-it’ note t-shirt on a day when you need to remember something. Just don’t forget what that something is!

Saw my first robin of the year and i felt like making something that reminded me of spring

A eucalypt forest in the Adelaide Hills. / This “red-processing” was prompted by what happened when I stopped to take these photographs. I had pulled the car off the main road onto a very quiet small dirt road to stop and take photographs. Within 15 minutes a police patrol had pulled up and was checking over my car. When I returned, I was asked questions about just what I was doing. The reason behind the vigilance – it is the start to the bush-fire season in southern Australia, and so many are started deliberately by “fire-bugs”. This meeting with the local constabulary brought home the memories of “Ash Wednesday” some 26 or so years ago, where SA and Vic were ravaged by massive fires and where I just managed to avoid being BBQed in my car, however others that day travelling ahead of me on that road weren’t so lucky.

Had a beautiful walk today and ended up at an age old farmhouse, perched on top of a drystone wall was this rams skull, along with two others … with nobody there to ask, I can only assume, they were there to be remembered …...... Once housed art and crafts / Now hollowed reminder of the past / Color coded to forget / A life rich in elegance I was inspired by my love for the Roycroft Inn to write this little poem. Built in 1895, the Roycroft Arts and Crafts Community had many buildings to house the artistic community and unfortunately a fire claimed one of the elegant buildings years ago and now lays in ruins. / East Aurora, NY Casio Exilim /
I never forget a ‘little saying’ my father used to say when he saw a wee man trying to be the ‘fella in the big picture’ ..... it was ‘inside every wee man there is a big man trying to get out’ .... well i’ve taken this ‘saying’ and reversed it here cus inside this big man is a wee man trying to escape LOL ... and for those non-NI Irish people trying to work out what ive just typed here, forget it !!! ... you will never understand the Northern Irish (Belfast) speak !!! The wind was blowing, and Cosmos do not stand still for it! So, even as the wind was blowing, I snapped to see what I would get. This was one, and it so reminded me of the verse….. / “The wind blows where it wants to. You can not see it, but you can tell where it has been”. Well, that is my version of now it goes, but it is quite close to the meaning. When we belong to Christ, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, to be our Helper, our guide. And He will guide us into all truth. That is why we grow, as Christians, and later, rather than sooner, we grow to think and act like Christ. The followers of Christ, in the City of Antioch, were first called “Christians”. That name, was really an epithet to them, as they meant it to be. It meant, “little Christs”... as they followed, acted, and thought like Christ did. If you are familiar with Scripture, you know that God IS love. And all of the attributes of God, are totally righteous. No, Christians are not perfect…...yet. Not until we reach our final home will we be perfect, along with our “perfect” body, that will be like that of the risen Christ! So, we are like other people, all growing at different rates, and making mistakes. But we have the Holy Spirit that reminds us, that we DID make a mistake, and to correct it, before too much time goes by. This image of the Cosmos, reminded me of the Holy Spirit, as you can see the effects of the wind… but I did NOT see the wind…. just felt it blowing softly on my face. / The Holy Spirit is like that. He is a gentle reminder, that we have done wrong. And he is easily offended by our stubbornness.. or pride. That is why we must tell God…. “sorry”.. as soon as possible…..so as not to become hard hearted. / John 3:8~ / /
