An interesting story to this image as I ventured out into the cave to grab this image. My wife was worried because teh waves would come flowing in but I figured it was ok when a surfer went gliding by me. It seems they use that cave to get access to the better waves on the far sde of the cave.

This is Sunrise over The Remarkables range in Queenstown, New Zealand. Initially it looked as car comming up the mountain. I have a shot with a Sun pocking out but prefer this one. This is on the Tasman Peninsular, the cave is about 80 yards long and about 12 feet high. There is a nice surf wave out the other side from here but when you go through here the water can rise almost to the top of the cave so duck diving under it can be a bit scary if you’re under for a few seconds too long with no air above, just rock.

This looks like what the moon’s surface might look like, in my mind. I doubt that I will ever get the chance to land on the moon, so this will have to do. This was taken of Remarkable Rocks, in the Flinders Chase National Park, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, Australia. This was taken at sunset and it is an HDR shot, merged with Photomatix Pro. My sleepy little albino squirrel has a message for everyone on the planet – “don’t let me and my fellow animals become extinct”.
