  • Peebles Old Parish Church
    by Robin Brown

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Its all in the title. This isn’t just an ordinary Church Spire. I am told its a copy of the Spire at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh. This is actually what I would consider the most prominant landmarks in Peebles. Peebles is a small Scottish Borders Town which lies about 20 miles south west of Edinburgh. Its possibly my most popular image to date out here in the real world. Made the Redbubble Home Page on the 29th of August 2008. Many thanks & best wishes from Robin; that’s me!! / Milestone reached, 1000 views. Thank you all kindly; Mum & Dad too. Reached on the 2nd of Oct 2008 / / / /

  • Buddha Within
    by Maya -

    US$5.51–US$125.93

Oil on canvas 24” X 24”. Completed April 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “All living beings have the Buddha nature and can become Buddhas” / – Buddha Buddha Within illustrates the story of personal awakening. My understanding of the personal awakening process is that when undergoing the final awakening stage, the kundalini (rainbow serpent) becomes an intense fire (red/orange beside the tree trunk) shooting through the spine engulfing the body. The energy (green vortexes) required is enormous. As the kundalini reaches the crown chakra, it fully opens and all earthly limitations drop away. This being is no longer tied to a religion or faith but now embraces them all as represented by the sacred symbols in the tree. The consciousness now resides in the higher self and is one with the universe and all that is. When the transformation is complete sonic waves (the four vertical crystalline waves) travel out into the universe to let all of creation know of the grace that has taken place. All life is naturally drawn to the radiant and divine being that has become pure Buddha consciousness (centre). At each of the chakra points on the Buddha is a Swarovsky crystal in the relevant chakra colour. Crystal magnifies the properties of the chakra energy. / Buddha Within is divided into four quadrants (earth, fire, water, air) and the five elements including precious metals (bottom corners). The red veins dividing the quadrants represent the lower dimension (inner earth). The higher dimension is represented by the white equilateral triangle. If you look closely, you can see the texture of the underlying branches in the tree. These were meticulous painted before adding the covering of leaves. The tree must be complete in the physical, in order to emit the complete energy of the life form. Imbibed in the painting is sand from a sand mandala created by Gyuto Monks. They had spent a week painstakingly building an exquisite sand mandala. Upon its completion the mandala was ceremonially deconstructed and the sand poured into the local river for healing, accompanied by prayer and the blasting of Tibetan ceremonial horns. Some of the sand is held back and distributed to those who attend the ceremony: it holds sacred healing properties. I used some of the sand from this mandala, mixing it in the purple paint used for the crown charka encircling the white triangle and Buddha. Buddha Within is the third in a series and preceded by The Dream and The Awakening.

  • Salome
    by Shanina Conway

    US$4.48–US$102.60

Salome / Available as an art print, card, canvas, mounted print and poster. The tetrarch Herod Antipas in defiance of all laws, married Herodias, the wife of his living brother Philip. St. John the Baptist reprehended the tetrarch and his accomplice for so scandalous an incest and adultery, and Herod, urged on by lust and anger, and perhaps political aims cast the Saint into prison. About a year after St. John had been made a prisoner, Herod gave a splendid entertainment to the nobility of Galilee. Salome, a daughter of Herodias by her lawful husband, pleased Herod by her dancing, insomuch that he promised her to grant whatever she asked. Whether she danced or not is in contention…let’s say entertained;) / / On this, Salome consulted with her mother what to ask. Herodias instructed her daughter to demand the death of John the Baptist, and persuaded the young damsel to make it part of her petition that the head of the prisoner should be forthwith brought to her in a dish. / This strange request startled the tyrant himself; he assented, however, and sent a soldier of his guard to behead the Saint in prison, with an order to bring his head in a charger and present it to Salome. / Surely there must have been a moment when Salome questioned her mother’s request and felt some remorse. / The story tells Salome married well and went on to live a happy life…but you have to wonder about the quiet moments, did she ever reflect on what she had been part of…? 3D and digital painting, the head of St John is a copy of the Caravaggio head…as I think he did the best ever version;) Image copyright © 2009 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited

  • Angelena
    by TREVOR IRWIN

    US$4.99–US$114.00

This photograph of Angelena was taken at our Mission centre at kujama Village, kaduna State, Nigeria. / This young Girl inspired me so much. Her young life is an inspiration to me of how faith and hope can carry us through difficult times. Angelina is 12 years old . She is one of the children we have been caring for for the past three years. When we found her three years ago she was close to death and without Parents. Three years later she is loved and attends school. We can and do make a difference to children in extreme poverty and sick. All it takes is Love and a heart of compassion to sow a little time and money into a child’s life and you will see the transformation. Angelina was dying from malaria when we first saw her. Now she lives a full life. She says she wants to be a doctor and help others who are sick. God bless her and all who helped us in helping her. 100% of all proceeds from sales of my art ,donated art, and donations made via Philadelphia Mission Charity website, goes to help extreme poor in Isolated and Rural villages in Africa. • Free Falling
    by Van Cordle

    US$5.98–US$136.80

Just something fun I did Playing around in Photo shop! / I had a image of a girl diving and scanned it into photoshop and created a new blank image and pasted it in. Instead of having her vertical I rotated her horizontal, I used the clone tool to paint her bathing suite off, and used the paintbrush to fill in the background with color and clouds, then used a few filters like Gaussian blur on background several times. I drew in the wings and then added effects like emboss to give detail. then just did some color correction and added warm high lights to make it feel as if the sun was above and behind her! I think it came out with a high atmospheric feel! She could just free fall for 5 minutes or so before having to flap her wings

  • Acrylic on canvas. / Over the last year I have painted a few pictures of nuns. My nuns do rather unconventional things.

  • Out of the Fog
    by TREVOR IRWIN

    US$4.99–US$114.00

PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in remote Nigeria. I and the team were waiting for the ferry to cross then Nile and continue our long journey to Tunga Zuga Village in kebbe state. Often my work as a missionary, working with extreme poor and sick children can be very emotional.Tears of sorrow and heartbreak, desperation and frustration overwhelm me as I and the small mission team do what we can with the little we have to help. yet there are times like this one when there is joy and happiness as I see people and scenes of great beauty. Truly God has blessed me with a wonderful life. I have never had the joy of owning my own home, or having a nice car or wealth. yet I am so happy to have a relationship with Jesus.God supplies all my needs, and I have travelled with God to many villages and he has blessed many. Life is more than a job,Career, wealth or designer cloths. Life is living in Gods presence everyday and experiencing his love and peace. Life for me is doing what is in Gods heart and that is helping the extreme poor. My Inspiration and passion is from God. I Live for him and he lives through me. I have been on mission and not a penny in my pocket, yet my heavenly father has met my needs, concerning Food, lodging, travel and covered all expenses. One one occasion, he sent an angel to pay my hotel bill. While in India The Lord moved me so much to travel overnight on a train, a day early to return to London. If I had not obeyed his leading, I would have been killed in a terrorist bombing. Its a wonderful Life with God. Please when you have time, visit my Mission charity site: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ I was born in Ireland and now live in London. I have been a missionary now for 15 years. When We first met Susan on a mission to a rural village in April 2007, she was in the later stages of death. her body was infested with intestinal worms. medicines would not work. I prayed for her in the village, along with two other mission volunteers. We left to continue our journey. But God spoke to me, and We returned that evening and put her in our old battered vehicle adn brought her to our mission centre. We continued to pray and command death to leave her alone. 5 days later and God completely healed her. Now as you see, Susan is completely healed. She shares her testimony with us on missions into other villages and many have also received healing and hope. Praise God! Please help us to continue to reach others with the healing love of God.
