Childhood living is easy to do / The things you wanted I bought them for you / Graceless lady you know who I am / You know I cant let you slide through my hands Wild horses couldnt drag me away / Wild, wild horses, couldnt drag me away I watched you suffer a dull aching pain / Now you decided to show me the same / No sweeping exits or offstage lines / Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind Wild horses couldnt drag me away / Wild, wild horses, couldnt drag me away I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie / I have my freedom but I dont have much time / Faith has been broken, tears must be cried / Lets do some living after we die Wild horses couldnt drag me away / Wild, wild horses, well ride them some day Wild horses couldnt drag me away / Wild, wild horses, well ride them some day

Horse and rider in sync before starting their course at the Grand Prix in Ocala, FL. This was taken during the Horse Shows in the Sun Winter 2008 series in the horse capital of Florida. In the Grand Prix, horses and riders will tackle 10-16 jumps of up to 5 feet 3 inches, and spreads up to 6 feet. It is a rigorous test of horse and rider’s ability to work together. In this picture, you can see the horse’s eagerness to go conflicting with the rider’s hesitance and foreknowledge of the challenges of the course. The rider must be completely focused on the horse underneath her, and ignorant of distractions around the ring. I wanted to emphasize this feeling by only allowing the horse and rider to be in color while leaving everything else in black and white. Ocala, FL

An expressive, if not tongue-in-cheek, representation Like this piece? See all four in the series and order a set! A NOTE ABOUT THESE WORKS / This small series of work (only four photos) was captured in Second Life, an interactive community “virtual world”. Photos are taken inside the software which connects me to this ‘world”, therefore the resolution sizes are very limited. After I’ve taken the photo, I import the file into Photoshop for touch-ups, smoothing out edges, creating a nice composition where necessary, and then I add post-processing effects that render the images as I imagined they would be before I took the shot (or sometimes, as they best turn out during post-processing). In the case of these items, only a textured background filter was added to add depth to the photo. These items are only available for card purchase because of the limited resolution available as noted above, however I hope to be able to find a way in the future to provide this work with enough quality for larger prints.
