  • Sumatran tiger, captive animal.

  • This is the first in a series I foresee doing, to increase awareness to the plight of endangered and threatened animals from around the globe. This First Edition focuses on three of the largest and most endangered carnivores today, the Sumatran tiger, the Amur leopard, and the Snow leopard. These are by no means the only imperiled wild cats, as the majority of wild cat species smaller in average body size than 30 kg are at a critical stage. / / / Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society Thank you for your support in the race to stave off the extinction of these magnificent creatures.

  • The eyes of a black panther

  • This Walrus image was taken at Spitzbergen in the Scandinavian Arctic. I like the way water drips from his whiskers and tusks whilst he holds an almost regal posture. / / (Spitzbergen – Scandinavian Arctic) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • WILD AND FREE / / We were very lucky with our bear sightings around Spitzbergen in the Scandinavian Arctic, which allowed us to get some nice close-up shots. These cubs were around 19 months old and still very playful. / / / (Spitzbergen – Scandinavian Arctic) / / >< / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • A bighorn ram on a bitterly cold winter morning with a bit of ice on his fur still loking regal despiate the cold

  • Tiger Tiger, Tiger, burning bright / In the forests of the night; / Dappled light on furrowed brow, / What careless loss hath man wrought now? In what distant fields or woods / Has your kind been gone for good! / Oh lost hope is not our creed, / We used our greed to do this deed! Stripes of onyx on amber strides, / We raped your kind, you can not hide! / And when thy heart lay still and dry, / Perhaps by then we learn to cry! Bullets, traps, dogs, the like, / Chased you deep into that dark night. / At times you taunted from bamboo lairs, / Places so tight a man not dare! Your kind is leaving, / tis sad our loss! / We beat our chests, / death has no boss! Stars threw down their spears on you / And water’d heaven with their tears / You lay their, dying, filled with fear! Did he who made the Lamb make thee? / Another day you shall not see. Tiger, Tiger, burning bright, / In the forests, one last night: / What immoral hand or eye, / Took your fire and made you cry? Adapted and altered by Mundy Hackett, based upon the famous poem entitled ‘The Tyger” by Sir William Blake! Save the tiger, save the planet, save those things which we wantonly destroy through our greed and incessant pursuit for domination of the natural world. The planet is a living organism, the tiger is but one example of the fire beating in it’s heart, but with each tiger lost in the wild the fire burns a little less brightly. Don’t let the fire go out, save the tiger, save the world! / / / / Part of my line promoting awareness and raising funds for endangered species globally. This is also available as cards and prints. All proceeds (100%) are going to the Wildlife Conservation Society for endangered species protection. • “Ten thousand flowers in spring / the moon in autumn, / a cool breeze in summer, / snow in winter. / If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, / this is the best season of your life.” Wu Men Geisha: Stock Exchange Original stock photo found here: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/123792 / Brushes: http://merrym.deviantart.com / Textures, and japanese Kanji: http://dholms.deviantart.com / Leaves: personal stock ©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires / No unauthorized use allowed / My images do not belong to the public domain

  • Originally I thought this was an albino peacock…But have done some research and come up with this – “The White Peacock is frequently mistaken for an albino, but it is a colour variety of Indian Blue Peacock.” It was a very magestic bird and beautiful to see him fan his tail feathers. Taken in Perth, WA. Taken in Perth WA with a Canon 5D & 100-40mm Canon L Series lens @400mm, 1/320th sec, f5.6 ISO 200. • Following on from the success of my Camotrooper tee, comes Magmatrooper! Take a trooper, dip him in a volcano and name him king of the magma men… ok, I’m ranting on about who knows what now : ) Enjoy!

  • Rio 2009 – as featured in Issue 57 of Advanced Photoshop Magazine! I went head to head with another artist, after being given the same basic model shot to work with. This was the outcome for me! You can see both of our work in this issue, along with a simplified tutorial on how I achieved this look. The reason this is called “Rio 2009” – is because of my original inspiration. Remember that classic 80’s album by Duran Duran called Rio, with the fantastic Patrick Nagel artwork on the cover? The raven haired beauty with the ‘cherry ice cream smile’ – who looked exotic and edgy, with that supermodel gleam? Well I wanted to update that picture with a fresh approach. No longer trapped in the graphic art lines of Nagel, Rio has broken free, and is a bit more exotic and fierce now that it is 2009! I love blending cultural styles and colors, and this piece was a real treat to work because of that!

  • Two magnificent lions at the Mebourne Zoo this morning posing together for just a few minutes. They were looking intently at those of us lucky enought to be watching at that very moment. Canon 400D Sigma 120-400. Coverted to B&W in Photoshop CS3.

  • First artwork in a new series I am working on inspired by the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In this iconic image, a beautiful but dangerous Queen of Hearts as femme fatale draws her finger across her throat to signify her threatening intentions. “The Queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great or small. ‘Off with his head!’ she said, without even looking round.” / -Lewis Carroll, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland “ Original artwork measures 19×25 inches, mixed media on gray Strathmore watercolor paper. This artwork took about twelve hours to complete over a two-day period. View more of my artwork at http://www.lynnetteshelley.com

  • The royal Leo wears a solar crown and a mane of flames. Original measures 19×12.5 inches. Mixed media (oil pastels, brush marker, gold paint pens, orange foil and textured paper collage) on green watercolor paper).
