  • This painting is acrylic on stretched canvas. We went to the movies at Sydney Harbour and when we arrived, the rain was pouring down. I was struck by the sparkling reflections on the esplanade and the softness of the colours in the distance. I rushed to get my camera and quickly took photos before it stopped. / I have used warmer colours than the photo showed, creating the feeling of the sun behind the clouds, just about to break through. • Yes, another cliched sunset shot but they are hard to avoid here in Western Australia. Its still a novelty to see the sun set over the ocean. / I would love some feedback on my composition and technique etc. / This is the framed print with a mocha frame colour and offwhite matt colour. /

  • From the San Juan Islands while whale watching for Orcas. This was taken with a crappy camera so the Quality isn’t the best but it is still high enough to be enjoyable :) / Red-Orange colors are edited.. or practically fake Cokin ;P.

  • Corio Bay in Geelong. A lovely soft morning with beautiful colours. I added a tone-mapping filter layer to ‘pop’ the colours which I reduced to 50% opacity.

  • MUCH BETTER VIEWED LARGER THANKS FOR DROPPING IN COMMENTING AND IF I”M LUCKY FAVOURITING THIS WORK Warriewood beach is located around 30 klms by road from the Sydney CBD, it can be reached by car or bus or flown across by sea plane. Equipment : Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens, no filters and processed using 5 bracketted exposures and processed in Photomatix with cleaning up in Capture NX. See also /

  • This painting is watercolour on stretched 300gsm Arches watercolour paper and is painted in a realistic style. Image size: 89×63 cms. It is the start of a series of boats that I want to do. I found a new waterway where dinghies are moored, near where I live. Fortunately for me, the boats can’t be pulled up on to shore when it rains as the land is a public park. Not so fortunate for the dinghy owners, though, some of the boats are full up with water from the recent rain we have been fortunate to have. Thank you all so very much for all the kind comments, faves and watches. I really appreciate these. • BEST VIEWED LARGER My neighbourhood, my sunrise, my inspiration. / Newport Beach I awoke looked out the window to see a glint of colour. Will i get out of bed , or roll over and go back to sleep ? Guess what decision won? Newport Beach is one of the many beaches, north of the city within a short drive. Everyone goes to Bondi that is crowded. Why not head north to pristine beaches, no crowds, and watch the sun rise and set. A good seafood meal, some chilled chardonnay or a beer. Sorry northern hemisphere bubblers it’s officially Summer downunder, so we have to put up with mornings like this for the next few months. Yes I know it’s hard but somebody has to do it ! Equipment: Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm lens, Handheld Technique: HDR, 5 Exposures , Photomatix 3.2 64 Bit, Slight sharpen in Capture NX See Also Inspiration & Reflection: /
