This is the shot you must take if you go to Broome… the camel train at sunset on Cable Beach. The tide was on the way out and the residual water gave great reflections. / Taken on Nikon D200 with 18-200mm Nikkor lens / Aperture F16 Speed 1/80s

A trio of boulders on Indian Beach surrounded by the seas of the incoming tide as the sun sets over the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. I arrived with another photographer to catch the sunset. It was raining, he left while I slipped on my rainjacket and was able to catch the spetacular colors of this sunset.

A favorite image of mine for the message that it contained for me. A small island nearly swept over by the incoming tides as a small crack in the gathering storm allowed for a colorful sunset on this PAcific Ocean beach. An image with a message in it for me, for while the world can be swirling around you, your faith can be that refuge, that rock to grab onto as the world flies by you.

It is very hard to try to explain how incredible Antarctica is if you have not been lucky enough to travel there! For those of you who have, you know what I mean. / . / Please view large photo to appreciate panorama fully / . / This is a panorama taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, ““By Request””, and “Luna Harbours”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because one is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and this one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !

Worth going to Larger for this one – heaps more stars. Storm off Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park. This shot has all my favourite elements in one image – the moon, stars, lightning, storm clouds, and ocean. What a treat this night was – getting some fantastic storms here. This is about the sixth I’ve photographed. There are two lightning cells here – the white one under the moon and the orange one off to the right of the main cloudbank. This is one shot in a continuous sequence of 100 I shot to create a startrails version. Unfortunately my computer is choking on processing that many 50mb files at once so may be delayed in posting the startrails version. Definitely worth clicking on the photo to see it large. Part of the Raging Stillness series this is a blend of 10 X 30 second exposures taken as part of a series of 110 sequential images during a particularly lovely night storm we had a little while ago. You’re looking at 5minutes of the storm at its height. The Flat Earth Society / “The facts are simple,” says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. “The earth is flat.” He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe. “Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world,” he contends. The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon. Johnson’s beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible.
