A nice long exposure I did of the Opera House from the Northern Boardwalks at dawn yesterday. This has come straight off the filter; no post-processing.
i created this out of stock images. it was for a reflections contest on EF. i know i know my reflection is going the wrong way… i still like it tho, and im pretty sure it took 3rd.. second or 3rd, prolly 3rd. :)
I think the trees, lighting, and river water has made a stunning combination on this particular day’ what with great reflections, sun beams, and water colour hope you enjoy it as much as I did (-:

Crepuscular rays can appear when the clouds (or terrain) that are responsible for the rays are below the horizon. The so-called crepuscular rays are solar rays cast on the purple red, while the sun is below the observer’s horizon, and sometimes span the entire twilight sky towards the Earth’s shadow band (the twilight wedge). If the purple red is obvious, look for these uncommon rays fanning out of the horizon. A amazing and rare sight, With the rays of light beaming up from the horizon and right up into the sky as you can see in this shot. EOS 500D. Boatsheds at sunset at Mosman Bay in Perth, Western Australia. EOS 500D.
This visit to the Crawley Edge Boatshed was a total opposite to my last visit a few days earlier, When the waterline was above the jetty leading to the boatshed due to a storm surge which resulted in a unusually high tide, Which is the opposite to the unusually low tides we have had over the last few days. I decided to walk into the river to get a unusual perspective of the boatshed since I thought the water wasn’t to deep, But in the end, I found myself knee deep in the water shooting the boatshed, And once again, Going home soaking wet. LOL The boatshed was built in the 1930’s and was restored by it’s current owner in the early 2000’s after being in a dilapidated and run down state for many years. EOS 500D.
