  • I believe this was my first early wake up to go out and shoot a sunrise seascape. Only a couple of weeks back we were at Narrabeen with friends. It was a late afternoon and I just could not believe the colour. I was determined to come back with my camera. That particular morning was just magic. Perfectly still, mild and the colours did not dissapoint. • We never thought this day would come, / But it’s finally here at last, What once was our bright future, / Is now are dim-lit past, But we hold onto the memories, / The lessons that we learned, The pathways we have traveled down, / The corners that we turned, And soon we say our sad goodbyes, / That will last us forever, We may see each other again, / Maybe once or maybe never, So make your goodbyes ones to remember, / The kind that will stay in their heads, Those are the goodbyes they will treasure, / The ones that were sad to be said.

  • VIEW IT LARGE HERE I took a drive this afternoon, because I was bored. Chasing some light. The sky was dismal to say the least. / I drove down to the lake and it was choppy and overcast, so I drove off, that’s when I noticed the change of light in the rear view mirror. The sun had finally broke through the thick cloud from the west, so I turned around and looked toward the jetty and the light was something else, I jumped out scrambling through my camera bag because I knew it wouldnt last. / I got it, it was only seconds after I took this shot that it was back to overcast. It pays to take a second glance :) Too many techniques in photoshop to mention. / f/11 Nikon D80

  • Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/6 second, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop Over the weekend we visited the Roodlesworth wood for the gorgeous autumn colours, the woods are on the outskirts of Blackburn (Lancashire). The colours and smells of autumn were amazing to see. This is a shot of the reservoir near the woods, I had to get low down for the shot and nearly slipped into the water because of the moss on the reservoir banking! ...note to self I must get myself some new walking boots, the current ones are several years old and the grips on the soles are going!!
