A street photo taken at Changi Airport, Singapore. Using the natural light as backlighting, these people were quickly snapped in silhouetted as they were walking away. I’m surprised how similar these people are. They echoed each other in terms of being in a pair. Also, the pairs in the foreground are single dad with their only child. All this captured at the time 16:57.

I was extremely bored today and I wanted to do something creative so I found the bubbles and started blowing out in the backyard. It was a little windy today so it was a stupid idea but I couldn’t stop trying, I just wanted ONE ! bubble with some sort of reflection before it popped. It was a mess, dripping bubbles everywhere and dropping my camera around my wrist a hundred times and then POP…..too late ! but finally I got one I really liked ….it reminds me of a garden globe.

/ . / I had some requests of a portrait shot of my photo entitled “Luna over Luna Park”. Luckily, I had taken the shot. I’m not great at giving photos titles, hence the title for this one. This was taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, “Luna Harbour” and “Luna PANORAMA”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because this is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !

A perfect winters morning, great light and a rare perfect reflection. I took many shots that morning but had to wait a few weeks to get my film back to see if any had come out. This was the one where everything came together, composition, light and technique. To balance the amazing disparity in light between the shadowed foreground and the bright background I used an ND4 Graduated filter. This filter balances the exposure by only letting one quarter of the light through the top part of the lens as compared to the bottom. The eye is so sophisticated that it automatically compensates for these differences so judging the effects of the filter is basically an educated guess and because I shoot on film I have no on location way of assessing the results and re-shooting if I mess it up. This shot is one of my all time personal favourites. It was also the group avitar for ‘All water and seascapes’ a little while back and was my first laminated print sale on the bub. Thanks for your help George Lenz / Layers and blends used in PhotoShop… / By using Photoshop, I used 4 different layers here to configure this piece.
