The reflection of an Impala ram is caught as he silently tiptoes along the edge of a waterhole in Luthuli game reserve, South Africa. / Sometimes, when trying to spot game it seems so elusive that all that can be seen or heard are whispers in the bush, footprints and the fleeting glimpse of a reflection.

It’s been so long since I posted on the Bubble, I could be in a meeting introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Andy Mueller and I have not been on the Bubble in 6 days”. Squirrel sneaking a drink from the murky swamp waters hanging upside down from a Bald Cypress tree on Bayou Desiard – Ouachita Parish Louisiana. This is one of my favorite shots and honestly one of my first paddling trips to Bayou DeSiard after returning to Louisiana. I had been away for about 15 years. This scene was less than 50 yards from the Public Boat Launch at Frenchman’s Bend. I have seen this behavior displayed many times since this shot, but oddly never noticed it before the day this image was captured. There had been fires up there a year before. its why the trees look this way, I found it interesting and started to take the trees against that sky.
