Sunrise at Carine Swamp – freezing cold winters morning.
Solitude at Sunset
One of Perth’s most photographed waterscape. The best photographs tend to be those unplanned moments that don’t come along all to often, when mother nature and timing cross paths. As Ansell Adam said: ””A good photograph is knowing where to stand”” but I think it is also knowing…when. I think I was extremely luck to catch this moment, as I have seen hundreds of photos of this place, but I think I have captured the amazing symmetry that the nature hides most of the time.
Mother Nature, best artist in the world.
A swan early in the morning.
This image are from two photographs to create this final effect!
This has been an experimental of composites!
I wanted to do something ‘romantic’ all of a sudden…so this is what emerged from my heart… ;-)
Taken this evening (25th May) from the South Perth foreshore looking towards our fair city of Perth
this is a fractal with one of my swan photo’s that I took .. this took me a few days because Its so busy now with all the newborn kittens at the Humane Society and sooo many of them ..I really wish people would get their cats neutered so there wouldn’t be so many homeless kittys and end up in the shelter having more and more kittens …. and sweet as kittens are … if people dont adopt them ...they have a sad existence in a cage for a very long time All money that I make from sales from Red Bubble will go to the / TorontoHumaneSociety

An early morning image of Ullswater in the English Lake District taken near to the village of Poolley Bridge, with the Duke of Portland boathouse reflecting on the lake. BEST VIEWED LARGER
The defensive Tower house of Smailholm, just over the Scottish border, near Kelso. The tower was built in the mid 1400’s at a time when lawlessness and violent bands of reivers, ravaged the lands both sides of the English-Scottish border. And a solitary white swan, resides below the Tower Even today, the landscape is lonely, and you can easily imagine the starkness of those dark days. Dreary dull, grey, original digital photograph. / Lots of photoshop layers and borrowed sunset from my bonny Northumberland, Budle Bay photo. Inversion and refining with digital painting….. it would have been easier to conventionally paint this!!
A winter`s evening on the Swan river with the reflections of the City of Perth. I had to wait awhile to shoot this image as some months before there had been a gas explosion up north and WA was on limited gas supplies and consequently all the city`s lights were getting turned off, however I think it worked in my favour, as the cooler winter weather enhanced the blues of the image.
We never thought this day would come, / But it’s finally here at last, What once was our bright future, / Is now are dim-lit past, But we hold onto the memories, / The lessons that we learned, The pathways we have traveled down, / The corners that we turned, And soon we say our sad goodbyes, / That will last us forever, We may see each other again, / Maybe once or maybe never, So make your goodbyes ones to remember, / The kind that will stay in their heads, Those are the goodbyes they will treasure, / The ones that were sad to be said.
For all those of you who like me, have had enough of Winter gloom and are looking forward to Spring and all the exciting photo opportunities it brings. Taken on a visit to Stover Lake, near Newton Abbot in South Devon a couple of years ago, the two proud swans swam gracefully towards me with their three young fluffy cygnets as if to say, MEET THE FAMILY Nikon D100 / 70 – 300 zoom @ 190mm / 1/640sec / CP Filter
Lake Kochelsee, Bavaria, Germany. / This is a very rural region, countryside, I live here. / In the background: Alpen Mountains This magic place belongs to my neighborhood! / I was very lucky (and happy) that the swan was passing by just at that moment.
