This image can be purchased HERE where it is titled “reflection” and proceeds go to the Phoenix-Appeal group. Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (there is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

Snow capped mountains reflected in Lake Rotoiti in the Nelson Lakes National Park in New Zealand
Sunset in winter at Mono Lake, California. Lenticular clouds are lit up as the sun sets behind the Sierras. Canon 1Ds Mark II / Neutral density Gradient filters used / 70 mm / f/11 / 1/6 second
Taken in the late winter/early spring of 2005 with a Canon A75 at a boardwalk in the town of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, Québec, CANADA. The white expanse of snow visible beyond the trees is the frozen snow-covered Lake of Two Mountains. Although I could see the arc of the trees when I took the shot and that is what I was aiming to capture, it was an extremely sunny day and I did not anticipate that the circle would be completed with the reflection… / Featured in All That Is Nature, May 2009 / Featured in Bits & Pieces group May 2009 / Featured in # 1 Artists of Redbubble May 2009 / Featured in the Natural color and light group February 2009 / Featured in Everything Winter / and Trees May 2008 groups. / Featured in Seasonal Scapes group October 08. / Featured in Seasonal Scapes group November 08,

It is very hard to try to explain how incredible Antarctica is if you have not been lucky enough to travel there! For those of you who have, you know what I mean. For those that have not, I will (eventually) be adding more images to help you understand, as words are just not enough! / Let’s just say, I really really really wish I could go back (with a better camera and a longer lens)! :-) / / (Antarctica) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

A HDR image of Lake Dillon, CO from the East side at sunset. It had snowed all the week before and the lake was iced over, reflecting the sunset beautifully.
