  • Yep…me again :)

  • A reflection of me (as close to a self portrait as I want to come), in the eyes of a horse.

  • Yes, I’m still bored so here is my daughter’s eye done in the exact same way as my younger son’s ‘Opal’ Eye. Enjoy!

  • Here’s a nice accident! It was to be a photo of my hubby but decided to make it all about me for once!! Ohh… And this is probably as close as we get to having a photo taken together these days!

  • / / Reflection is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s Infusion of Color series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. About this image / Reflects that quiet place inside, that is hidden underneath the chaos of everyday life. That sacred space where dreams are born, wisdom breathes and love is experienced, from the inside out. It is serenity, peace, love, light and the bliss of simply BEING. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Cards, Matted Prints, Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / Image featured in Self as Other on 8-4-2009 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /

  • This is actually the oldest piece I’ve posted in here. I did this back when I was a freshmen in college nearly ten years ago. Wow, was it really that long ago? Seriously? Holy crap, I’m getting old. Anyway, this thing was absolutely huge and I went though a a WHOLE LOTTA’ pencils while drawing it.

  • The tremedously talented docophoto just posted a splendid shot with a little tiny cameo of herself in a mirror in the background of the photo and it just looked so good….. and it put me in mind of a shot I had taken some time ago in the ladies loo at Circular Quay in Sydney… so what ever else you do today everybody….please don’t forget your valuable…....:) / . /

  • whilst on my trip in tibet, i took time to wander up a hill by myself. surrounded by mountains and listening to the herders singing to their yaks was so beautiful. i didnt know how to preserve the moment till i looked down at my sunnies.

  • Self Portrait / My reflection / My camera, my cafe latte,my life

  • Okay…. My kids made me do it!!! They found this snail in the garden and insisted that I photograph it so here’s the result.

  • I was watching the movie “The Ultimate Gift” listening to the character played by James Garner talking to his grandson when he said… ‘Learning is a gift… even if pain is your teacher”. As soon as the words had finished coming out of his mouth I honestly said out loud – YES!! Immediately I was blown away by the quote and I wrote it down and thought about its meaning for weeks. I’ve never felt so affected by a sentence before. Upon reflecting this quote I found quite confronting to realise that I spent my twenties doing everything to avoid and “run away” from my emotional pain.. Now in my 30s I’ve realised that pain was essential for me to be a more caring, less-judgemental and forgiving person. Pain seems to show us the truth in others… the truth that all people, no matter what’s on the outside… have a heart capable of breaking on the inside. It gives me great comfort that I can now view the grief of my brothers death as somewhat of a gift to me – rather than nothing but a loss FEATURED IN Prize Challenges GROUP / FEATURED IN Creative Inspirations / FEATURED IN YOU’RE ACCEPTED GROUP / FEATURED IN FIRST THINGS GROUP / FEATURED IN TYPOGRAPHY GROUP / FEATURED IN THE ART OF PAIN GROUP t-shirt available .

  • This is a self portrait that was shot against a wall in my house. On this wall I have written a heap of words and sayings that I have found in self reflection over the past few years. I have been striving passionately to become fully self empowered emotionally. To this end I am commited to being as self aware as possible to the emotions and energies that I carry. Much of what is written on this wall has originated from weaknesses that I have observed in myself. I have been insecure for much of my life and believe that the more weakness within myself that I become aware to the more likely I am to understand these weaknesses that hold me back. Have also and continue to be less than fully confident with my own physical appearance. I am however finding that the more I search and overcome emotional weakness the better I believe I am looking and feeling. Still have days where I do not like to look at myself in the mirror but these days are becoming less and less. Just as an added note. Just wanted to say that the main message I am trying to convey with this piece is that I believe true strength for any person is accessed through self reflection. The more I understand about my inner self the more free, humble and strong I am finding myself to be. Empowered Beauty / www.leapoffaith.com.au – my personal website
