Norman Greenbaum – Spirit In The Sky Lyrics: When I die and they lay me to rest / Gonna go to the place that’s the best / When I lay me down to die / Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky / Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky / That’s where I’m gonna go when I die / When I die and they lay me to rest / Gonna go to the place that’s the best Prepare yourself you know it’s a must / Gotta have a friend in Jesus / So you know that when you die / He’s gonna recommend you / To the spirit in the sky / Gonna recommend you / To the spirit in the sky / That’s where you’re gonna go when you die / When you die and they lay you to rest / You’re gonna go to the place that’s the best Never been a sinner I never sinned / I got a friend in Jesus / So you know that when I die / He’s gonna set me up with / The spirit in the sky / Oh set me up with the spirit in the sky / That’s where I’m gonna go when I die / When I die and they lay me to rest / I’m gonna go to the place that’s the best / Go to the place that’s the best Inspired from the Movie Soundtrack “MICHAEL” with John Travolta in 1996 Photograph of our western skyline, drawn spirit in the sky with wacom graphic pad/pen then Redfield plug-in fractilius…
Re-worked a shot I took quite some time ago, in order to enter it into the Redfield Plugin people challenge. Initially this started as a 30 second exposure, with me moving to a different spot at the counter every 10 seconds or so. Then I ran it through 2 different Redfield filters, layered both and selectively punched through it here and there (selective coloring). Then dodge and burned a little here and there, and now I am ready for a beer!!!! This has been taken with my Nikon D200 and 18-70mm lens. My art with 1000+ views
The other girl in my partner’s life…
Unlike my white weblike Fractalius works before…..........I went for the dark side of the plugin. I’m very pleased how it came out!! You can see the mosaic colors of my walkway to the right and back. Redlands, California. Dynamic HDR and Redfield Fractalius used. /
Location: Rancho Cordova California / Technique: HDR, Layering & Fractalized / Workflow: HDRd in Matix – Layered in Cs4 – Fractalized / Equip: Canon 5D OG A wee bit late and a couple too many drinks while editing this image. Actually scrolled down most of the color palette and basically did a “eeni meeni miny mo” to select a color (#3c240a) and worked off the selection, hence a very busy & cluttered image. Im thinking this is not gonna stay on the bubble very long. but this image did put a smile on my face because when folks say Dont Drink & Drive, It should also apply to Photographers Dont Drink & Edit!!! Below are the originals along with some much needed clouds from an image I shot in the Philippines. This is an actual macro of my daughter’s 3 inch wide rainbow bead stretch bracelet that she completed this morning at 2:30AM!! / I then applied my Redfield Fractalius Plugin before dragging the colors to the sides through Selective Coloring. /

When life’s troubles get you down, when it seems like you are all alone, sometimes it’s a good thing to find something you love…. then close your eyes – and just breathe…. Gave the rose a blur, a sharpen and then used Redfield’s Fractalius to give this one last touch.
This is a photo of a boat at Dungeness, and manipulated using Fractalius in CS4 with Textures added.
Eleven is cool, but this one got the twelfth! All objects were created using Incendia and then blended and merged with Redfield’s Water Ripples, layering upon layering to give the sense of Rosie the Octopus emerging from deep under the water…. to give this rose to you! I worked on this one all week and then, when finally trying to save… well.. I ended up with 67 megapixel blue screen!! So… alas had to try try again… lol! (I’m thinking that trying to do a thirteenth rose might not be a very good idea…..)
