  • / / It would be such a pity to leave without a comment. Like it? Say so. Don’t like it? Say so too! With a bang, if that fits your style. I’d rather leave a negative impression (on someone) than nothing at all. DullnBoring is not my middle name. Neither my last (I knew you’d probably say that!). As for the first name, it’s on the front page. So, please, leave a note and make my day a beautiful one! Thank you from the heart my friend. / / . / Please view also my other work.. / / Thank you for visiting.

  • Where’s the water gone There’s a rather sad phenomenon that’s plaguing our great land / And just like the wary gambler it’s about to play it’s hand. / All the signs have been quite evident and round now for a spell / But we’ve fobbed them off, ignored them all, as far as I can tell. From the times of early childhood when my family drove around / All the creeks were full of water and the bores were rather sound, / Sure enough the droughts they came and went but mate, I have to say / that our Nation’s running kind of dry, hard times are on the way. Hey I think we’ve done our dash old son ‘cause what is going on. / All our dams and bores are getting low and where’s the water gone. / We will have to make some changes and mate make them pretty fast, / as the water’s disappearing and it sure as hell won’t last. Though we’ve held bad hands in years gone by we’ve always lived in hope, / that the rains were somewhere in the deck and til then we would cope. / But the evidence is ominous and looking rather bleak / and we’d do well to consider all the havoc it could wreak. We need each and every one of us to play a vital role, / as we’re playing for high stakes here and there’s need for self-control. / All will have to change the lifestyles that they’ve been accustomed to / And we’ll have to play our hands right and seek out an Ace or two. Hey I think we’ve done our dash old son ‘cause what is going on. / All our dams are bores are getting low and where’s the water gone. / We will have to make some changes and mate make them pretty fast, / As the water’s disappearing and it sure as hell won’t last. © Bush Poet and Ballad Writer Merv Webster / ©2008 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright. / Shot taken outback South Australia / 5 layered image

  • Sedona, Arizona, USA 2008 Was so focussed on getting to this river before sunset , such a rushed hiked that I lost my bearings on the return trip and nearly spent the night out here !! Was rather daunting but incredibly beautiful nonetheless. I now make sure I have plenty of time either way, perhaps I should invest in a compass and a star chart LOL

  • I found this chair on the side of the road…my hubby thought I was mad bringing it home….lol…..especially when I told him I had plans to take it to the beach….

  • OK…I admit it….I am completely obsessed with this old chair….. I just wanted to let you know that I will be posting more pictures of it…at least until my obsession is satisfied….or the chair falls apart. I figure, if I am going to lug it all over the country side I have to at least post pictures of it to make it worthwhile….....I just hope you’ll come along for the ride. If you’re really keen I have more versions on another site

  • A flight to Denver Colorado, a 5 hour drive to Togwotee Mountain Pass, USA at an altitude of 9767ft made for some spectacular scenary, but also made for the worst altitude sickness EVER. One by one our party fell ill, only I remained standing. I went out on Christmas Day, took various shots including this one from the car, I also took a video diary of the trip for everyone in bed. I should really dig it out as I remember they wern’t happy with my jolly commentary. Only after I got stuck in the snow did I begin to feel exceptionally ill. The trip was immediately cut short. I missed out on the Devils Tower Wyoming and Mount Rushmore. Dammit. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 10D, 70-200mm at 135mm, f/9.5, 1/90 sec, ISO 200. No filters used and mounted on the car door. A small amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop. This shot is also available from a photobook collection called Rural Mementos by redtree.me © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.

  • I lost about 8 years of work due to a accidental click of a delete key in 2004, I stupidly had not backed up the work. Two days ago while clearing out the loft I found the photo of the girl with some others I thought had been lost forever, phew. The shot of the girl was taken in Sailsbury, Wiltshire, UK 2002 at a Civil War Reenactment and the the background is a lovely walk through Ashridge, Bedfordshire UK, which I took yesterday, I have added a few textures to the overall blend. The composite work has been done in photoshop CS4. I hope you like it. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Girl / Canon D60, 70-200mm at 200mm, f/5.6, 1/250 sec, ISO 400. / No filters used and hand held. Background / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/16, .8 sec, ISO 100. / 3 stop Layer Comp. No filters used and tripod. © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.
