  • THIS ONE IS FOR REDBUBBLE.COM and REDBUBBLERS TOO! This one has no mark up at all, just my way of saying THANKS! I owe so many of you all for your inspiration, and helping me grow, by your own expressions, your know how, and your own talents. It has been very helpfull to connect with you all, but even more amazing it is FREE. So in that spirit, this one has no mark up, sorry its all that I can do now!

  • This is of Downtown again. It is of the W, taken when I had to go to American Airline Center. I had captured this at different times, but like this view. I enjoy capturing what I see, but was not able to share my work until now. I am enjoying my passion in a whole new way. REDBUBBLE.COM gives me the chance to share my work with others, as well as connect with others who share some of the same passions. It has been very important part of my learning, as I go mre public with my work.

  • The old homestead could use a little help, as you can see there is holes in the roof, and the porch has fallen, Hell there even buzzards waiting me out! I could use a little support, or just a little help to make things better, before I get picked apart! Thanks for all those who have helped me, be me! Allowed me to ramble, on and on! I hope that I will be able to make it up to you all, someday. Thanks very much, from the bottom of my heart!

I was just looking at my public profile page here on redbubble and was thinking about how I have changed since I had written about myself (I think i need to update it). Since I have been on redbubble I have come on leaps and bounds not just in my photography but also as a person, my confidence with life in general has grown. When i first came to rb I saw myself as just a housewife (not that there is anything wrong with that of course) who took pictures of her children and here I am less than a year later and I have put a book together, had 3 images accepted for a book on black and white photography and have just been accepted to do a degree in photography at my local university (I start in September). More importantly though I have made some wonderful (virtual) friends here who inspire me with their work and comments as well as several people who are pushing me forward ‘behind the scenes’ (ie bubblemail). So i just wanted to say a huge thank you to all those who have been a part of this and a huge thanks to those working hard behind the scenes at Redbubble – this is a great community to belong too. I would love to hear from you about what RB has done for you:) Thanks for reading.

  • Oil Pastel And Acrylic And Minor Digital Enhancements Concept: This is one of the many in Ophelia’s Love Encounters Series, it’s her experience of many facets of this wonderful thing called LOVE.. This is what she has to say about love today : “Love means being surrounded by redbubblers everyday.” Time rockets! Had some pockets of reflection and guess what…have been here on RB for 2 months already, I just entered my 3rd month :D Life on RB has been so enjoyable and enriching for me but I have one major regret. That is I should have joined much earlier. I remembered when I first joined this community, Fa assured me that this is the most vibrant online community that she has ever experienced and that I would enjoy my stay here…and of course, she’s right!! As I am staying in a foreign country(I’m a Singaporean living in Thailand) and working alone most of the times, RB has given me much support in terms of creative expression and a great pool of friends whom I know care for me. I wouldnt dare ask for more :D Truly grateful for all the friends whom I have made over these months, friends who have constantly provided feedback and comments to my work, both here and in my smile4me gallery, who have favorited my works and exchanged numerous bmails with..I owe my beautiful stay in RB to all of you! This little piece of artwork is me saying THANK YOU to all you beautiful people out there!! :D /

  • CHRISTMAS ….. / A time to open our hearts and remember what we came here for… This is my christmas card for YOU…all of you beautiful people here on Redbubble who have visited my work, whether just once, or many, many times…and made a difference to who I am…. you KNOW who you are. / My wish for you…... to find the core of what it is to be happy and at peace with your self…..and to love who you are….. because you are all beautiful, passionate, creative people who are lifting our planet with your art and your energy. And I see this shine in a unique way, in each and every one of you. Now, I create for many reasons….. but sometimes, when I am in pain, or sad, or trying to make sense of something, I create even more…...it helps me understand or heal. / Recently I uploaded several pieces of art, created at a time when I have been struggling with chronic pain from an ongoing disease in my legs and feet….. and it has threatened to bring me down and squash my spirits…I have felt the sadness, pain, loneliness and even a little fear….. I have also had to close down my art studio in Town because of this and felt a sense of “failure”.....suffice to say, I have created art out of a need to replace my pain and sadness, with a desire to overcome this and transform it to beauty and joy. And remember what I am really here for. / And you reminded me. I left my images for a day and when I returned, I saw the flood of comments and felt all the love from each of you who had viewed, and I sat in front of my computer and tears flowed down my face. I am overwhelmed and did not know how to thank you….so I decided to put up this image as my message back to you…. / How blessed am I to have a global family like you, because although I cannot physically see you, I can feel you, and your warmth, friendship and love truly does lift me up. So for your comments, your views, your wonderful energy that weaves it way into every thing I create and share on RB…... thank you….... / and for the creativity and sharing you bring, the amazing pieces of your world that come to me via this screen and thus become a part of my world to inspire and expand me…..THANK YOU. I wish you all a happy holiday season and wonderful year in 2009….may the light shine upon you ALL ways!

  • to everyone viewing and commenting and being so nice. It really means so much to me. Thanks!

  • wow….yes celebrate with me!! / It indeed has been a joyful year since I joined RedBubble!!! / It all started accidentally when I saw some beautiful sunset / photographs on a different site by Bamagirl… (thanks Bonita!!) From there on, I posted abstract works, simple photo-manipulations, mixed media (computer art plus acrylic and pastel paints) and a handful of photographs….(wasn’t really serious selling art on line at that time…or anything like spending precious hours doin digital art which I thought nobody would even care to take notice of……HA! I was wrong….VERY WRONG!! ) The likes of Helene Ruiz, Gili Orr, Nancy Chambers, Erhan, bamagirl, Tracey Mac and Mel Brackstone had encouraged me to join groups to get noticed… I received a lot of encouraging words from Danilo Lejardi, amorspainter, realpainter, Angel Warda, Chris Willis and Kai Marie Williams to go on with my heART!! Got my big break when two wonderful angels, Linaji and Terilee really noticed my talents as an digital abstract artist and poet that landed me as one of ADAWG’s featured artists. I wont forget friends like Martin Muir, Kreesor, Loreto Bautista, Liesbeth, Sally Omar, Jerry Alcantara, Ravensoul, Loisgreen, Amber Elizabeth, Heather Rivet, Rosa Cobos, Aspectsoftmk, Blamo, Red Addiction, Trena, Jennyfnf, DawnDavies, Valzart, Pat More,Judi Tailor, LisaG, lucindawind, jewelskings,Patricia Anne Mcarthy, CJ Lewis, TKrosevear, David Parkin, Michael Beers, Agness Mcguiness,Shelly Heibert, Irene Burdell, Jo Hoden, Artist4peace, Rosemaree, Isa Rodriguez, Doreen Phillips, GerryMac, Butchart, Susan Bergstrom, Lior Goldenberg, Joak, Christopher Birthwisle-Smith, Robin Monroe….and a hell lot more….for healing words when I was really down…and who really went out of their way sending me b-mails and personal e-mails…. Sorry, if I failed to mention some friends here….you all know who you are…please don’t get hurt, b-mail me and I’ll mention you…THANK YOU!! It also was and still is a great pleasure to be featured along side awesome artists like toastedghost, Randy Monteith, Cliff Vestigaard, Julie Langford, Shanina Conway, Mimi Yoon, frogster and Dale Crum Now, I’ve grown and matured digitally from making simple photo-manipulations to complicated ones as through the inspiration that RB has openly allowed me to….both as a person and an artist! I have had a lot of happy RB buyers like Dave Law, Tiamaria, ZeeZee, Sunshine0,liesbeth, AlexMac, DanaMS, Jansnow, Trena, Tammy Rosevear, David Parkin, Nancy Chambers, Susan Bergstrom, Lisa Hewitt, Romo,Angel Warda, Sylvia Tax and Mekea, who have had their faces or family members “manipulated to smitherins” by me…. Like to share this pleasure with new found friends like Shoiab, Junior Mclean, Taschja Hattigh, and maxoperandi and to ALL the new peepz in my watchlists The awesome support in my following groups…AMAZING GRAVES , Enchanting and Powerful Photo Manipulation , The Love of Eerie and Enchanting Artworks has likewise been stupendous!! Being here, has given me a different perspective in life…..gaining true friends….improving my heART and making this world a better place to live, well at least in my own artistic little way!! Once again THANK YOU RB community of FRIENDS!!!

  • ShadowDancers Journey on the Bubble - Journal 1

The journey that I have taken on the bubble has been one of illumination, inspiration, and empowerment. I have traveled inside the minds of others, zoomed in on otherwise unnoticeable things in ways that make them spectacular, seen places in this world I have never been to, and even trekked to other galaxies. Every time I visit I am taken to other-worlds that wrap themselves around my heart. Since I am in a nostalgic mood, I thought I would begin this walk down the rainbow-hued paths of the Bubble by remembering some of the first art and artists that I came across. You may have seen some or all of them yourself, but they are all magnificent works in their own right, and deserve to be revisited from time to time. So please, relax, and put on your best walking shoes. The very first piece of work I ever marked as a favorite is by a wonderfully talented artist Al Neaimi . His whole portfolio blew my mind; it is full of complex designs, patterns, and textures, coupled with a depth of understanding on humanity. The first piece that I favorited is still my favorite of his works. The piece, along with his writing about the image, stirred so many emotions inside of me – this is my favorite part of his message: “Throughout your WONDERFUL Journey of ENLIGHTENMENT remember to pause and refresh, and look around: you will be Splendidly impressed with what you see.” . Another one of my first favorite images quickly led to one of my favorite painters. Her work is so lifelike I keep waiting to see their breath. Many of you may recognize her by her signature butterflies she beautifully implants on each picture. Alice McMahon White and this is the image I was enamored with. This painting portrays Marilyn in such a beautiful way, she looks so woman and raw, like we are seeing her as she wakes up from a wonderful dream rather than the pinup version she pretended to be. “Land of the Elves” is a fitting title for a look into a world frosted over with perfect white-blue snow straight from heaven. / MarianaEwa took the photograph many wait a lifetime to take. . “Amongst the Fog” is an image that reminded me of the beauty in imperfection. It is a stunning photograph of some lone red flowers, somewhat imperfect, yet beautiful in their own right. The artist, Julie Thomas, has a great portfolio. . F. Magdalene Austin is another magnificent painter on the Bubble. My favorite work of hers, and let me say it is SO hard to narrow it down, is called “Eyes Like a River”. This image of a woman’s tears speaks volumes to my soul. It made me feel like she was crying for all of sisterhood. While she is soaking in sadness, I somehow feel uplifted when I see her face. . Another instant favorite for me was by digital artist Dylan Murphy. His specialty is self-portraits and each piece is evocative and thought-provoking. I could stare at each one for silent eternities. The first one I came across, however, is “Let it Out”. Funny how we tend to come across things as we need them. When I found this piece it was at a time when I had been suppressing and bottling up a lifetime of emotions – it was the perfect antidote for me. In fact, I never told Dylan, but it inspired one of the first poems I had written in years, called Fear of Expression. ntherapy took me to a place of nostalgia and dreams with “my mothers house”. This is a perfect example of how a photograph of something so normal, so simple, can bring a rush of feeling from the tips of our toes, up our spinal cord, and into our minds where it will reside for an eternity. Just one glance at this photo and I feel a light Ozark breeze and smell my mothers homemade pecan pie, coffee brewing, and hear the songs she used to sing when I was a child – the same ones she sings to my own children now. . Paris is a city after many artists heart. I have been lucky enough to see this magnificent city, but no stay is ever long enough. Leia managed to conjure up some magical orange pixie dust and transform the usual Eiffel Tower photo into something from another planet. This is my all-time favorite photo of this awe-inspiring landmark. Susan Duffey has a wonderful bubble page full of paintings of trees and flowers and nature. I really love her work. One of my favorite pieces of hers is from a series on trees of the seasons. “Winter Trees” is both icey and inviting at the same time. The hues of blue that she used, the shapes of the trees, and the ‘ice’ affects she used are superb. It makes me reach for a cup of hot cocoa every time. Here is the very first piece of writing that I put on my favorites list. It’s by a beautifully talented writer Rebekah Anderson and it’s called I Breathe. Again, so appropriate for the kind of message that I needed to hear at the time I read it. It’s a beautiful reminder to appreciate life – every breath we take is significant. Please click the link and read this profound piece of work. You’ll be glad you did, as was I. The other piece of writing I wish to share is from the most talented and RedBubble staple PJ Ryan. It’s called Spider Legs and so captivated me I read it over and over again. Here is a tidbit: You have crawled inside of me at night through the doorway of dreams and you hang around for longer than you know you should and we kiss and talk and roll around in yesterdays and tomorrows. Hint – you’ll wish for a toothpick afterwards. That’s it for now fellow dreamers. I’d love to hear your feedback on whether you think this bit was worth the read. Please be patient with me as I get through some of the older works before I start sharing new material and new artists. I really want to give credit to those that have affected me through this voyage my soul has taken. Much thanks and love, / Patty Jo
